This is an EXCELLENT cart! It is easy to slide my kayak on, easy to tighten the straps, and super easy to move my kayak, even on a hill. The design uses the kayak's point of balance to make it feel almost weightless. The cart folds easily, but I rarely need the extra space. Assembly is relatively easy. The instructions don't mention that you can (and should) adjust the wheels outboard. My misgivings are that the wheels were out of alignment, not parallel. It was not very severe, but annoying. The point that made me return the unit is, that I was unable to adjust the support rolls properly to fit my Pelican Catch. Adjusting them outboard made the kayak ”roll” in the cradle and the foam rolls did rub on the wheels as well, making them very effective brakes (the wheels did not turn at all any more). Inboard placement, in the kayaks tunnel, made the corners of the bent sheetmetal in the supporting foam rolls almost touch the hull, loading my stuff on the kayak, bouncing it over uneven terrain and or just compression of the foam over time would damage the kayak. Was there anything good? Yes, the frame was very sturdy, the wheels are made well and were spinning easy like they have bearings inside. I bought this one because of the large wheels, making it easy to roll across stones and roots. Just not for this kayak of mine. ... show more

Received the transport cart and noticed that there was a missing spacer. Contacted Suspenz customer support and got a very fast response. I got the spacer quickly and was able to complete the assembly. Great customer support.

    • Good cart but...
It's way better than the smaller kayak carts but the strap locking piece is junk. If you hit a bump it just comes loose then you have to stop and re tighten it constantly. For the price that should be addressed. Will probably buy better ratchet straps that will actually hold.

    • Takes the backache out of a 13' tandem kayak!
I wanted a tandem kayak to paddle with the youngest of my grandchildren. But, a stable, sturdy kayak weighs quite a bit more than I can heave by myself and particularly since I need to portage it about a half mile or so down to a pond. This cart is super. Positioned just behind the center of gravity on the kayak it balances easily with one hand and the large wheel makes walking it only a bit more work than walking alone. Even with 5 or 10 degree grades and through some uneven rutted dirt paths this cart takes most of the work out of the journal. Solidly constructed, easily assembled and attached to my 13' tandem kayak, this cart made the trek safe and pleasant! I can gladly recommend this cart for your kayak transport on foot. ... show more

    • Not Adjustable Enough
The cart seems very sturdy and well built. I bought this to replace a wilderness systems kayak cart because I hate that thing. I have an Old Town Sportsman 120 PDL and unfortunately this does not fit. You can adjust it to be barely inside of the channels of your haul and it may work that way, but it's going to be a sketchy sit. If you adjust it to sit perfectly within your hull channel, the wheels make contact with the hull. Perhaps if you're willing to risk over $200 to drill your own positioning holes in this cart, it could work. ... show more
