Description

Some books tell you a story. This one gives you a map.He had the career. The house. The family. Everything that was supposed to matter — and a growing, quiet certainty that something essential was missing. So he got on a motorcycle and rode west.Surfing The Invisible Wave follows a man known only as Seeker on an unexpected two-week apprenticeship with a remarkable mentor on the California coast. What begins as a quest to conquer one of the world's most formidable waves becomes something far more probing: a journey into the beliefs, values, and inner architecture that determine whether a life feels meaningful — or merely busy. This is not a story about surfing. It's a story about the invisible wave every one of us is already riding — the current of growth and becoming that carries us forward or lets us drift, whether we see it or not. Seeker's journey is the reader's journey. And the lessons his mentor offers aren't parables to admire from a distance. They're a roadmap.Inside this book, you'll encounter:A powerful framework for understanding every growth cycle you'll ever navigateThe non-negotiable foundation that makes everything else possibleHow to surface the hidden beliefs quietly shaping your choicesThe difference between the life you're living and the life you're capable ofWhat it takes to become the person you need to be to craft the future you desire.Surfing The Invisible Wave is for anyone who has ever looked at their life — the routines, the obligations, the things that should be enough — and felt, somewhere beneath it all, that there ought to be more. More passion. More purpose. More of a reason to get up in the morning. There is. And it's closer than you think. Read more

  • Worthwhile Read
Format: Paperback
Yeah, this book very much resonates with me as a 50 something year old male, divorced, navigating life in this unique space. I absolutely highly recommend this book. Wish it was available to read and reflect before i reached this age/place in life. Recommending to my friends for sure.

This book is geared toward those navigating mid-life, but I was surprised to find it really speaks to relationships at any point in our lives. Well-written, enjoyable to read, great insights woven throughout the story.

  • Wish I read it sooner!
Format: Paperback
What an amazingly well thought out concept. Wish I would have had this book sooner when I was going through a divorce in my early 30s. Thank you for writing this.

  • Entertaining & Educational
Format: Hardcover
I listened to the audio book! I love the way Seeker asks questions outloud and in his inner dialog. This book covers so much personal growth, coaching practices, inner healing and identity work that I have participated in over years in various conferences and workshops. It was awesome to have all in 1 beautiful story between, Seeker & Scarlett, Sage & Saffron. I found myself mentoring, painting, enjoying breakfast and walking the trail to many beaches imagined and conquered. Ordering a hard copy. The Freaking Basics so relatable. Last month I found myself asking if I had the courage to begin again. Thanks for the awakening and rising to my next adventure. I've always wanted to have surfing lessons, maybe that's still on my list. ... show more

  • Worth reading!
Format: Hardcover
Excellent book that I truly recommend. I wasn't very far into the book when I felt a tug of emotion as I recognized many thing similar between the main character, Seeker, and myself. We all go through hard times and this book is a gentle not so gentle reminder we are the main character in our own personal story and we do have control. I recommend when you purchase this book you also find a journal so you can take notes of the great concepts and ideas that Seeker learns and how you can them apply to your own life. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did! ... show more
