My last replacement charger cable did not last very long. The cable started to fray at the outlet plug end in about two years. This one seems much better.

The media could not be loaded. My sister has the cutest evil little pomeranian. I love him dearly but he chewed through my laptop charger when they were visiting. Needless to say, I needed a new one. This comes with 2 different plug attachments which lets you customize the length of the cord. As you can see in the video, it charges my surface pro. It charges whichever way I plug it in and it has the indicator light on it so I know it's working. I'm just glad it didn't cost a crazy amount and works well.

i bought 4 after market chargers for my Microsoft Surface Pro 6 - 1 in Nov. 2019, then the first of this brand in Feb 2020, which failed in 6 weeks, then another in March 2020 (the one still powering my laptop as i type this), and the last, July 2020, which was dead straight out of the box the 1st of this model needed constant fiddling to charge and it would stay lit 75%. After 6 weeks, the light kept blinking off and on, but if i held it still, i could get it to charge. About a week from when it began blinking it totally failed. i will say, compared to the 1st after market i picked up, and these do not overheat. on fabric, they do get much warmer so just keep it on something nonflammable to be safe. for this price, i have to say, i was super irritated after reading so many 5-star reviews. while the OEM charger is dead dead after 4 months, the fact only 1 in 3 i bought worked well is not acceptable. the one that IS STILL WORKING does work briliiantly and has already outlasted the OEM which failed in 4 months. so this is an affordable option if you can count on it working.

I had the displeasure of being stuck with this charger for a couple of years and I emphatically recommend NOT buying it. It genuinely drove me insane - every time I'd plug my Surface in, this thing messed with the curser. It only happened with this charger, never with an OEM one, and it was so frequent, but it was the same problem every time: whenever I'd charge my Surface with this charger, within a few minutes, the cursor would just stop working entirely. I had to unplug the charger and wait a few seconds to get it to work again. My Surface battery isn't great, so the constant dance of plugging/unplugging it in every hour became truly unbearable. If you only use your Surface to watch videos, and you can stare at the screen without ever needing to use the cursor, by all means this is a great charger. But if you frequently use that cursor, definitely buy something else. This thing was a nightmare.

Bought a used surface on ebay that was told to be in perfect condition. When i got it, it wouldn't charge. Since i figured it was a cord issue and tablet was still a great price i got this and its working great for my surface pro 3.
