I wear work boots instead of traditional women's winter boots because they have better grip and are actually waterproof; my life on the road with my partner (who's a traveling industrial construction worker) makes it much more likely that I'll be in a small town where there are fewer paved sidewalks and less shoveling done than that I'll be in an urban area where I can wear a pair of cute boots and not have their lack of traction be an issue. And, unfortunately, my previous pair failed during the pandemic (after probably 15 years, so no real shame there); it wasn't a big deal to replace them at that point as we were in Arkansas which doesn't see a ton of snow, but now that he's working a job in Minnesota and we're looking at an early winter, I was really glad to see these come up as available for review. If they're as good as the description sounds, they'll make a solid pair of all-weather boots for me, but my narrow feet, high arches, and hypermobile joints make that very much a trial-and-error thing for almost all shoes. These actually surprised me, as they're everything the description says. They're genuine leather, though they do have a siliconized finish on most of the lower portion of the boot to make it truly waterproof. The cut is traditional, the toe box is fairly roomy to allow the toes to spread a bit when working in a less-stable position or swell through the course of a day, the heel counters are properly stiff and won't break down quickly like they do on some cheaper shoes, and the heels are made slightly narrow for good ankle support and stability on uneven terrain (whether it's a job site, refrozen slush, or a hiking trail). The collar is well padded and cut so it doesn't end up digging into the back of my calf like most new work and hiking boots do. And the insoles that come standard in them have enough arch support that I don't feel the need to replace them with a separately-purchased pair! If you can't guess, I'm thrilled with these boots and looking to grab a second pair so I'll be able to let these breathe and dry properly when I'm wearing boots all day every day through the winter. They're equivalent in quality to a Red Wing or a Rocky, but don't have the extended break-in time or the price tag--one of Amazon's hidden gems.

I can't say enough about these. The sizing is spot on. The boots themselves are exceptionally made. The soles have that heavy duty rubber on them they had come with insoles to give it that extra comfort which I find to be an excellent idea. My husband has neuropathy and a lot of problem finding boots that he can wear for long periods of time and these he is able to wear all day with minimal pain after. I would absolutely buy these again and would recommend them to friends and family alike.

I got these boots because I was looking for a work boot that was good looking enough for normal daily use when the weather required a waterproof shoe/boot. I like them so much that I wear them now as normal daily use casual shoes no matter the weather. They fit as expected in terms of size, but the last is slightly wider in the toe box making them extra comfortable. The leather is very high quality and looks good. I have worn them in foul weather and they are indeed water proof. They are a bit more difficult to put on because the tung is connected all the way to the top of the shoe in aid of being waterproof, but one only has to make sure the laces are fully loose to put them on. The footbed is both supportive and comfortable. the sole has proven to be non slip in use. They fit well right out of the box and did not require any "Break in". They seem very sturdy and well made, but how long they last is yet to be discovered, though I have no doubt they will stand up very well. As noted, they are so comfortable and nice looking I wear them very often as regular daily use casual shoes.

I got these boots because I work in a restaurant-type setting where the floors are always wet and it can be cold and these have been a big help. The waterproofing works great I have not had any problems with it getting in through any other part of the shoe besides the top but that's not the shoe's fault. They are fairly comfterable, although I noticed the size is a tiny bigger than most other shoes I have worn. They will also definitely keep for feet warm. Great well-made boots.

The footbed is cozy and provides support. When used, the sole has shown to be non-slip. They didn't need any "break in" and fit well right out of the box. Although I'm not sure how long they will last, they appear to be quite well-made and durable, and I have no doubt that they will hold up beautifully. As mentioned, they look great and are quite comfy. I use these as my go-to casual shoes for everyday use quite a bit.
