Warning? Warning #1: There are serious build quality (QC) issues with them, however, if you get a pair without said issues, you have a fantastic value on your hands. Solution: when you buy a pair, be sure to buy more than one pair so that you may keep the functional pair. Warning #2: These run VERY big in size. I wear a 10.5 in every other shoe except these and another pair of high quality work boots I own. For these, a 9.5 was the right fit; a full size smaller than regular shoes. It seems that high quality work boots just run large for some reason. So maybe that explains why so many reviewers indicate that they fit as expected, maybe they know to order a size smaller when it comes to high quality boots. Solution: order several pairs at the same time, in several size increments smaller than what you normally wear, so you can keep the pair that fit. My selection: Dark brown, composite toe, waterproof. Pros: The leather is simply fantastic. Feels cool to the touch and very soft yet firm.. almost as if it had been mink oiled prior to shipment. I can't stress enough how high quality the leather feels, and the boot appears to have high quality welt construction with double welt stitching at the toe; and triple stitching at seams. The interior of the boot is silky and plain luxurious. The toe areas are roomy yet don't feel like yawning caverns; just the right amount of room. The soles are comfortable and seem very high quality. The boots are not heavy, but heavy enough to know they're no cheap boot. Cons: I ordered several pair in several sizes. The 10.5's were not only too big, but the toe construction was off. It slanted back instead of emerging perpendicular to the sole; it looked odd and actually ugly in my opinion. Thank goodness the 9.5's that fit had proper toe construction. However, the 9.5's had a bad seam at the tongue. Where the tongue and the top of the toe leather meet, there was a stitched area that was intended to join the two surfaces; it did not. The stitching missed the lower leather and created a large hole for water to flood the inside of the boot through(see pics). Rather than send the boot back, I repaired the boot my self (see pics). It was very difficult, did not go as planned, and I definitely don't recommend trying to stitch this leather if you encounter a similar problem. Even though the leather was supple, it was still incredibly hard to pass a heavy gauge needle through; and that was also while using silky cord specifically used for stitching leather. I broke not one, but three heavy-gauge-needles in the process (see pic). I nearly jabbed myself numerous times struggling to get the needles through. I'm a mechanic by trade and have reasonably strong hands- by the time I finished they were shaking with fatigue; from all the care it took to prevent injury while also avoiding any puncture of the water proof inner membrane. This failed, the membrane was punctured a number of times despite a serious effort not to. Long story short, both sets of boots arrived with build problems. So, why the 5 star review? Like I said, if you get a good pair, or even an acceptable pair, you are getting such a high value for less than a hundred dollars that it's a product worth keeping on Amazon. If they last even half as long as I suspect they will, I will be back to buy more in the future. This time however, I'll be ordering three pairs of 9.5s, and keeping the set that's free of issues. I did not rate water resistance, nor durability, because I haven't any experience with those yet. Hope this helps!

These boots are the most comfortable, supportive, waterproof, warm and affordable boots he’s ever owned. He loved his boots so much he didn’t want a new pair but when they arrived he had a smile on his face and was super excited that I ordered them for him again.

Bought the black pair 7 months ago . I have always worn logger style boots (30 yrs in the sprinkler trade). Decided to try moc toe for the first time in my life (the white soles have always thrown me off). When I saw these black models I said what the hell they're half the price of the boots I usually buy . The boots are about !/2 a size large but the inserts they send do mitigate this some . The quality/workmanship on the pair I received was very good , not great but surprisingly good for price . I'll say this now though if all moc toes are as comfortable as these are I have been foolishly missing out for more years than I care to think about . These have to be the most comfortable boots I have ever worn . The black version only come with steel toes and are a heavier boot , but for me this only reinforces the sturdy feel of the boot . You would have to be some soy slurping office puke with calves the size of a ten year old boy to think they are too heavy . I am truly pleased with this purchase and I have already bought a second pair to wear as a non work pair . I will possibly give a later update as to their durability, the sprinkler trade is truly rough on the uppers of boots . There are sprinklermen all over the place with steel sticking out of the front of their boots . It is usually not possible for a pair of boots to last more than two years . As stated I not only would but already have purchased these again . If the quality remains the same they will become my go to .

I bought them in advance for my job. I have not warn them to work but I will say very impressive by the look and touch. I put them on to see if they fit and noticed that they’re very comfy. For the price it’s amazing. I will update when I get to them in the future.
