I grew up skating and JBing with my friends. While looking to get a bit more active as an adult I wanted to get into rhythm skating and find a good pair of starter skates. after extensive research I learned REIDELL is king but also expensive. I found a lot of skaters would wear Sure-grip and some swear by their wheels. After comparing cheaper types from Chicago and others I decided on Sure Grip Fames. I am very happy with my purchase. First off it came early so that is always good in my book. The skates are brand new, need adjustments but what skates don’t need some adjustment. I have not gotta out on the floor with them yet just around my place and I had to take the off because they are so comfortable and my apt flooring isn’t skate around friendly lol. True to size for me I wear a 9 narrow to med Wi date adn these fit perfectly snug but my toes aren’t crunched. I measure my foot in inches and mm to make sure. These are the first pair of skates I have ever purchased I would always rent speed skates. I do plan on replacing my bearings and wheels asap. I am 140 so I don’t think the nylon plate will be a problem. I plan on using these for indoor and outdoor use until I can save to get a pair of OGs or Juices. In conclusion… - they fit true to size. I am a 9 narrow but my feet can swell a bit and the feet comfortable while wearing them around. - lining id the softest lining I have felt in a skate ever. - The price, quality and reputation of the brand can’t be beat if you don’t have REIDELL or Chicago Lifestyle money. - The writing on the wheels are clearly messed up but honestly it looks more intentional design than malfunction so its honestly not a big deal its a wheel people. I will update this review in a few months after some real world use. But I am very happy with my purchase so far.

I am a beginner skater. These are by far the best skates I have ever tried coming from someone with two left feet. I could never balance on skates and used to fall all over the place, not to mention skating around the rink was nearly impossible without causing accidents. With these skates I do truly feel more confident as they feel like they have great traction on the rink floor. I didn't fall even once and I was able to skate around with some level of confidence. My feet were so comfortable in these and they fit amazing. The plate is nice and tight on turns which I like since I'm new to the skate community and it helps me learn how to balance and move during my lessons. All equipment is adjustable. I will be getting a pair of sure grips boardwalk wheels when I'm ready to skate outside for more practice. I truly recommend these to any beginner or person's with two left feet! My instructor thought I could actually skate well enough to make it around the rink and told me with enough practice I could be great within a few weeks. That was such a a compliment coming from her since I have only been skating for 1 week fully. Get these skates! You won't regret it!

The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with the quality and value of these skates! I purchased a "Chicago" pair and they were bulky, too big (9womens) and very heavy, with no support. Y'all when I unboxed my Sure grip skates the packaging alone amazed me! The quality of the material feels like butter! Lol. There is plush padding around the ankle, which makes these skates feel very comfortable. I purchased the 7(mens) 8 (woman) but I usually wear a 9 in womens. The size was a bit confusing but I took a chance and ordered a 7mens, needless to say THEY FIT LIKE A GLOVE!!!! Con: I'm not pleased with the printing on the wheels, and will try my best to get them replaced, because my OCD won't let me be great! Lol. I was told by the company this is their new print. Not true. Anywho I purchased a pair of outdoor wheels and upgraded my bearings. Overall with me never writing a review, I will say to sum things up... I love, love, love these Sure Grip skates!!!

While they are great skates I am upset that I trusted the listing info here and didn't dig deeper. The boots are not leather. That's the main reason I chose them. Now, I don't hate the skates. I quite like them actually. I'm just mad that I paid $160+ tax for vinyl boots as I definitely would have chosen the boardwalks instead. The rock nylon plate, the artistic wheels, all together make a great skate. I'm just mad that I took the listing as fact.

The media could not be loaded. I decided to switch to a raised heel rollerskate and I'm so glad I chose these. They have a lot of cushion on the boot and a good amount of space on the inside. I wear a size 11 in men's and went with the size 10 skate because their size 11 actually fit more like a 11.5. If you have narrow feet or want a snug fit size down otherwise you can go with the larger size. Two suggestions with these would be to get some thicker insoles if you have sensitive feet and loosen the trucks if you are a better skater and as you get better. You want them to be a bit loose so you can move your body and change directions. It makes a big difference if you're trying to freestyle and do tricks! I'm using the sure grip avenger played with mine and the combination is great for my intermediate level I'm at. All in all a great skate. I'd say spend the extra and get these because there's a lot of skates that are cheaper than these but you can't go wrong with these!
