I LOVE these skates but there are a few things you need to know..... originally they felt pretty tight and the backs of the skate rubbed the back of my ankles red. I was worried that they were too small but I also thought one size larger would have been too much. (they don't come in half sizes) I wore them around the house for hours for a few days. By the time I took them to the rink they were broken in, super comfortable, and fit perfectly. I know they advertise "no break-in period" however this was not the case for me and I am so happy I did not return them. To the newbie skaters who don't know about skates. The wheels on these are HARD and made for indoor rinks only, they do not have the ability to go over the smallest object, trust me I know... someone must have been eating peanuts while at the skating rink. that small peanut caused me to face plant on the floor. So if you plan to be using these anywhere other than a super smooth surface change out the wheels. finally, check the bearings and adjust prior to using them. Mine came all sorts of messed up. One wheel loose, one way too tight, etc.... Adjusting straight out of the box is a must, so have your skate tool ready. Shipping was fast, skates were in perfect new condition, they are sooooo smooth and I just love them ... show more

Ordered these cause I wanted to get back into skating with my daughter she is 9 I am 40. It helps with my ruptured disk. But over all they have been a great boot. I would recommend better wheels and bearings as I ordered cannibals and big balls bones bearings. This setup has met my needs as just getting back into it untill I upgrade for some better boots and plates. Great for a beginner ... show more

These were a birthday present for my 15 year old son. He loves to skate and is actually really good. This was his primary request and though more expensive than I'd have expected, it was the only thing he asked for, so we delivered. He can skate for hours and says they're comfortable and support well and are fast and quiet. He hates the rental skates at our skating rink and feels like a big shot in these! ... show more

Love VNLA skates they are the most comfortable skates I’ve ever worn. Takes about 2/3 days to break in and once they do it feels like any pair of shoes. Not the strongest as they have been coming apart from skating outside but that’s expected.

Absolutely OBSESSED with these skates!! I have never been on roller skates nor can I roller blade either. But I was determined to get really good at doing it so I made the decision to spend more money for my first pair. So glade I didn’t go cheap because I believe best way to get the confidence in learning something new is to have the proper equipments to set you up for success. I am in my mid 40’s and I can honestly say I started “ flying “ off the parking lot within 1 hr of practicing and making crazy fast sharp corner turns in my tiny condo. I wire them for 6 hours straight, I didn’t want to take them off! But one major issue I have is the back of the heels pinching into my heel a lot for me :( it’s kinda painful. I am getting some more padded socks and hope will work ~ I am 5’4” wear size 6. True to size. I wear fussy socks and still feel I could have more room but they don’t feel loose also not too tight. I can put another layer of socks padding if I need to. I truly I wouldn’t have get this “ good” so fast if I had purchased a cheaper or less quality brand. I am a fan of VNLA! I bought these skates for my husband so we could learn the skate shuffle together, aka date nights at the roller rink. He grew up using skating inlines and we still switch between inline and quads during our skate sessions. These skate are awesome. They visually look really good and the bearing are such good quality we had to upgrade his inline skate bearings too.
