I was surprised these two lamps came in such a small box. Be prepared to assemble everything, even the shades. It wasn’t that hard. I was very leery of the rolled up lampshade material. There are grooves along the shade that let you snap the shade onto the wire form and Velcro the seam. I thought it would look tacky but it’s decent enough for me. One shade showed a tiny bit of crimping along the shade edge, but I was able to put that side to the wall. I love the size and style of the lamps, especially the wood accent. I like the base, very sleek and is what I was looking for. The shade is awful. It’s cheap looking so much so that it brings down the appearance of the lamp. The problem is that more and more companies are providing assemble it yourself lampshades and there is no way to make them look good. These aren’t your standard shades either, they are European so if you want to run out to a hardware store and get replacement shades you’ll also need to get an adapter for each to make it a spider top. This will end up costing the same as the lamp set itself. I’m using this as is, but it’s just not a good look. Oh, also when using the light randomly blinks and the touch on off is wonky and takes a few tries. ... show more

Beautiful lamp. Love that the shades came rolled. Someone was thinking with the design of these. Once assembled they look like a normal shade. The USB in the base is great. no more plugs and cords everywhere.

If you are looking for simple, straight lines or mid-century modern, this lamp has it all. I searched and searched for a lamp on many websites. Lamp base is good quality and went to together smoothly. The shade comes rolled and goes together easily and well. Although the seam isn't quite as flawless as a shade that is already together. The seam is held with velcro and has a slight divot. Not a big deal as I placed the seam towards the wall. Just noting it's not as seamless as a store bought shade that is already together.     • Defective lamps and pathetic instructions
The lamps come unassembled with wires hanging out of the column. The instructions were pathetic. The worst I have ever seen. Just a flimsy diagram that didn’t even resemble the lamp as delivered and nothing in writing as to what to do with cord hanging out of the top. NEVER buy from this company!
