I’ve been waiting for a rugged (NON Folio) cover for the new IPad 12.9 2020 that was ANY color except black. It was easy to install, came with clear instructions (with pic guides) and tools -if needed. All the ports and buttons were aligned; stand rotates a full 360; 3 layers thick: fits in my current iPad stand; charge port has dust cover; Apple Pencil is still able to connect (cut outs on back to pop it out easily). I haven’t dropped it yet 🤞🏼 but it seems (along with screen + camera protectors) that it would provide pretty good coverage. It was few dollars than some of the other, more name recognized, options that I saw- but they were all black, so I took a chance on this one. I’m pretty happy with it and have a little more peace of mind that a $2k piece of technology is protected—bc we all know Apple’s products are fragile. The only side items are 1. Not enough room to charge while portrait facing. Just set it to the side. Or use an iPad holder stand. 2. The strap is kind of awkwardly placed in position to the stand. I just loosened mine up. 3. The media could not be loaded. I have the newest iPad Pro 12.9in and the version is A2069. When buying this case I expected something heavy duty and maybe that was my 1st mistake. This case provides 0 protection. I dropped the case without the iPad in it and it came apart just like that. The rubber does not wrap around the hard covering to add that extra layer of protection. The corners are slightly more protected because the rubber is thicker there but other than that 0 protection. The plastic casing is flimsy and offers zero protection especially since the clasps that hold the two pieces together comes apart VEEEEERY easily. One little nudge and it comes unclasped. The seams of the two pieces don’t even meet. The top just rests on top of the iPad when places inside and the connection points are the weak clasps. I assumed the plastic would offer a layer of protection and then the rubber would ADD that extra oomf but no I placed my iPad in the plastic casing only and dropped it on my carpeted bedroom floor and it came apart instantly the top just unclasped instantly (AND IM SITTING ON MY BED which is no more than 2 FEET above the floor) I can just imagine what it’d be like if I dropped it on a hard floor and from much higher up. Because the rubber covering is flimsy itself it offers no added protection for the already weak plastic casing. If all of that doesn’t stop you from buying this then you should also know the plastic casing doesn’t even fit the iPad. One of the clasps doesn't even close. It just pops right back open. I am highly dissatisfied. I order this May 19 and finally received it May 26 and was eagerly awaiting it just be given this. I highly do NOT recommend. ... show more

Somehow I missed that this did not have a lid or protective screen cover., so I was surprised when I got it..immediately ordered screen protectors like I have on all my others. Waited to install the case and screen protector at same time.. All seemed good until I snapped the last tab...then I realized the screen protector cracked🤨.I didn’t read anywhere that this was a problem, so I am not real happy that I spent an extra $13 for something I thought was standard..and then it didn’t work. Otherwise the case is great, sturdy, rotates easily, stands by my chair with out sliding away. Just feel the description wasn’t clear. ... show more

Pros: -Reasonably priced -Versatile -Hand strap/kickstand -Pencil holder -Grippy rubber surround Cons: -Rubber doesn't fit 100% perfect. I'd call it 95%. -It feels a bit cheap. Time will tell how well it will hold up. I use it for visiting jobsites, taking photos, marking up photos and blueprints. So I seldom have a flat surface to work from, I'm typically holding the iPad and marking it up. This lets me hold it securely in one hand (via the rear hand strap), and write easily with the other. I have never used the shoulder strap. The pencil slot gives me an easy place to park it, just to keep from losing it. It's not super easy to get the pencil out with one hand, but it's doable. Overall, I like this case a lot. It's not perfect. But I didn't pay for perfect. ... show more
