I spent a long time looking for area rugs without a white, beige, or cream colored backgrounds because of our cat who throws up on things occasionally. It is a carpet that looks nice and is soft,as for durability i don't know,only have had it for a month. But in that month it has not layed flat totally. There are still several bumps in it. I have tried weighted items and rolling up in opposite direction to no avail.

I received my rug today via UPS. While the rug itself was tightly rolled in plastic the cardboard protective pieces surrounding the ends were torn and exposed. Fortunately there was no damage to the rug edges or the rug itself. Yay! This is a really pretty rug with a soft pattern and colors. It's certainly not plush by any means but it's a nice rug overall and the price is certainly exceptional. There are multiple creases that run the entire length of the rug however I am hoping that with time they will flatten out. Given that this rug is made in Egypt I'm not surprised by the deep creases because it certainly traveled quite a distance to get to the US. The rug has a really strong "off gassing'" type odor so opened the back door and had a fan blow over the rug for several hours today to help eliminate the smell. That seems to be working well so far. I love this rug! It is nice and soft! It's not scratchy to the skin at all! My only complaint is that it definitely has a strong odor to it! The odor went away in about a week. All in all very happy with my purchase!
