Definitely a must have for any tool kit. The only limitation is if there are exposed threads preventing the socket from reaching the nut, and it doesn't take much, you might as well use an actual deep socket or wrench. So, I'd buy it while keeping in mind that it's basically a shallow socket. I dismantled two medium sized sheds with it on an impact driver and expected it to break, but it performed incredibly well. Also, bolts and nuts tend to get jammed inside the socket more often because of the pins.

I bought this when it was cheap and I had extra money and thought this would be great for something. That something ended up being my pool motor shaft was very hard to turn since they tend to seize up from not much use in the winter. I thought of using a socket, but this would contour to the shaft better since its a weird rectangular shape. I put it on and connected it to my impact driver and gave the shaft a minute of spin to un seize it and it worked fine and motor now turns on its own. I know I will find some other uses for it later were a weird shape is not convenient.

Received this as a gift from my wife who thought it would be a good addition to the tool-chest. Overall, it's not a bad little socket, but as the title says, don't expect a miracle. As the ad for this shows, the socket is surprisingly versatile, with the pins able to grab a variety of things to provide torque. I've grabbed a couple damaged bolt heads, some eye-bolts, and hooks with this and it's done a decent job for me. The main drawback to this socket is that the individual rods that make up the head are small, which allows versatility, but also easier to damage. I've used this a couple times to loosen a well tightened hook and felt like I was going to break those rods before I got leverage to turn. I ended up having to go back and get alternative means for driving them that we're as easy as this socket could've been. Overall I'm very pleased to have it, and it does have it's uses, but don't expect to buy this as a miracle one-size-fits-all cure for tool problems. You'll be sorely disappointed if you do.

I got this for those bolts in tight areas, and it does very well. It's the same size as a regular socket, and it takes the guesswork out of what size you need.
