These shoes did the trick on my trip to Belize. I first used them on my crazy excursion through the water caves, which required both swimming and climbing on rocks. Based on that success, I used them for just walking around in more ordinary situations. Got some positive comments about them...even from the tour guide in the caves. I only wore them a few times, so can't really comment on durability, but they survived the week and I look forward to using them again.
