I have to agree this was missing pieces. I originally thought we accidentally misplaced them and went out to supplement it to get it working. The umbrella is nice, ready not a bad material. It's not wind resistant as much as I would have liked. Because in a few windy days recently (last month or two) it killed the umbrella. I probably shouldn't have had it open but in my defense it was only open for awhile until the wind picked up and then bam it was damaged. It worked for me for awhile, but I should have not used it on a cloudy day. It does work and was easy to attach. You can nearly get this attached to ANYTHING. That's how easy it will be. The coverage is good but ridiculous narrow so you will need to turn depending on where the rain or sun is hitting. I know this sounds negative but I'm not trying, just got into a bad situation and I think it could be my fault. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had high hopes for this product but sadly it arrived defective. It does appear to be a good-quality product, and feels well made. It also arrived with all the hardware for assembly. The problem is that it does not open properly. It keeps wanting to flip up. You can force it up, but I think over time it's going to get worse and break. We can't figure out how to fix it. *See my video and picture for more product details. ... show more

    • Unique way to have shade on your mobility scooter

This is a very interesting item. It will provide shade for you while using your mobility scooter. The parts are all well made, smooth and fit together well. Really very easy assembly, following the diagram included with the kit. I do find that the bar that fits into the scooter's receiver is slightly smaller than the hitch opening. I plan to concoct some shims to hold it snug. The umbrella can be a little challenging to open up. Once open it does stay in the open position. When taken down there is a strap with hook and loop tape attached to the umbrella fabric that will help to keep the umbrella closed. I am using a larger and heavier hook and loop tape strap that is just easier for me to use. If you will be scooting around with the umbrella up , you will need to pay attention to your surroundings - don't want to snag something that may be overhead. I think this umbrella would be great to use when you are out at the park or kids ballgame. You can raise and lower the height of the umbrella as well as open or close it up. Should you want to leave it behind it is pretty simple to remove the whole assembly. I find it easiest to remove the umbrella from the connecting rod and then remove the lower part of the structure. Lot more manageable that way. Fairly easy to store the two parts when you don't plan to use them. ... show more

This is a solid shade canopy for the scooter. It was a little tricky installing it but once you get it mounted you are good. It is very well built and hold on firmly. I do not recommend having it open while you are moving unless if you are moving very slow. With some assistance you are able to move the umbrella around to give you better coverage.
