I bought this in conjunction with the Amazon basics metal hammock stand, hoping they would work together. Yes they did! I set it up on August 13, 2023 to watch the Perseid meteor shower. It fit best for me on hole 5 to support myself at 165 pounds. The only negative is that I chose the random multicolor, expecting more of a rainbow scheme, but got just green, orange and red - so if you want specific colors make sure you order that. It’s very soft, just like I remember from a trip to Puerto Vallarta. So far, so good.

Needs a spreader bar. Made for two people it says, it rolls one person up like a sushi roll. Ain’t no way 2 people even stick people getting in it. I would have returned it but time ran out and I forgot it

Looks pretty but prefer ones with wood bar at top and base to hold it out so you don’t feel closed in. Also snags easily…small ropes.

The hammock is great in many ways. The double size allows for really comfortable laying positions. It is beautiful. But I would gladly pay another $30 to have the hammock made of better-processed rope - with no leaves or stems or whatever the poking bits intertwined with the cotton are.

I purchased this hammock because of the breathable cotton. It gets hot and humid in NC, and I wanted something comfortable. Rips began right after its first wash (in a giant lingerie bag, gentle cycle, no bleach, very little detergent). I even called the company to be sure I washed it correctly. I THINK the strings adjusted while in the wash, and laying in it just put extra tension in those areas, snapping the thread. So just be aware when you take it out of the wash— be sure the strings are all in place evenly. I was able to use butcher’s string and reweave the gaps together. But I’m not happy I had to do that. And it DOES mold easily... but we also leave it out 24/7. To curb that, I use laundry line support sticks to spread it out when it’s not in use or when there’ll be a heavy rain. Haven’t had mold issues since we started doing that. UPDATE: The clothesline poles trick isn't nearly as effective as I originally thought. I ended up having to repair the hammock too often, and I suspect it's because it was exposed to elements 24/7. I've purchased another one as well as a snakeskin-style hammock cover and will leave another update after a few seasons with how well the hammock holds up to being left outside 24/7 with the snakeskin cover.

This is an amazing hammock and holds a wild amount of weight. I've had 600+ pounds of human in this and it laughs at our puny girth. Good luck getting a hammock stands that keep up with it, best solution is two trees and some quality straps. Take care not to tangle it. It can happen easy. Get a couple of decent caribeeners and keep them perma-attached to the loops. Click them together as soon as you unhook it to avoid tangles and knots.
