I'm not sure who is buying a tarp for warmth, but in that department it gets one star. The same goes for sturdiness, by design, tarps aren't supposed to be sturdy. This tarp is, however, durable. I use it to place over some 1" gravel and then put my daughters inflatable pool on top. After 4 times of deflating, cleaning, and moving, this tarp is still in one piece. My only complaint is on the ends (the shorter sides) the grommet spacing is very wide, I think there are only 2 on each end. ... show more

I used this tarp to line my pickup truck bed before loading brush and brambles cut from my back yard into it. I did this so I could slide the tarp out of my truck at the dump, along with the brush. It was a pretty big load. I heard a little tearing, hence the lost star, but it worked. It appears to be none the worse for the wear for my next load. ... show more

Instead of taking down the fabric on the top of the gazebo, we opted for going the lazy man’s way out and decided to put this tarp over the whole gazebo from top to bottom. We haven’t gotten through our winter yet, so as far as durability, we will have to see how it holds up, but with all the wind and rain we have had lately it is doing a great job with that so far!     • NOT A HEAVY DUTY TARP
The tarp is advertised as "heavy duty." It is only 5 ml thick - heavy duty tarps are 10 ml thick. I bought this tarp in April, 2020. It was used to cover a pile of firewood. It was on the pile from around the date of purchase until recently when it was replaced. We had a relatively mild Winter 2020-2021, for southern New England. By summer time 2021, the tarp tore in a couple places allowing water onto parts of the firewood stack. Its performance was average for a medium weight tarp. But I got a heavy tarp at a local hardware store for about the price of this tarp. Overall, I wouldn't say this is a bad product, but not the best you can do for your money. ... show more
