Great functionality just not blue anymore. Been outside about a month and now all purple. Still a great hammock. The sun has given us a new shade though in about 4-5 weeks.

I bought this to replace an old deteriorated cotton hammock. This is a synthetic material, not cotton as I was expecting ( I think it is described as cotton). However, it seems soundly constructed, and I know it will dry quickly when rained on. The quilting is light which is fine with me--not sure a hammock actually needs to be quilted. I like having the light pillow and I like the neutral green tan color that harmonizes with my garden. I made an erroneous assumption that it was the same length as my original hammock, which it is not. It is probably 10-12" shorter. My mistake for not measuring what I was replacing. The chain hardware that was included was not long enough to fit my hammock frame, so I had to scrounge up one length of replacement chain in the garage to make it fit my frame. Fits well now. The length is fine for my 5'5" height, but my 6'1 husband thought it was a little short. The length is not really a fault of the product, but do check that it will fit your frame before buying. ... show more

Iโ€™โ€™ve owned hammocks my whole life. When a mouse chewed our old one during storage, I found and ordered this one. First it is attractive and I like the attached pillow but it is shorter than our old one so I needed to buy another longer set of chains for our stand. Ok, not a problem. However, the first time I went to get in I landed on my back and hit the bar under our stand. My husband was there and witnessed the whole thing. It had nothing to do with my placement or approach. The fabric is VERY slippery. Despite being centered and slowly sitting, the hammock shot out from under me! I suppose it might repel rain, but it repels people too! Our old hammock was more of a canvas fabric while this is more like nylon. BE CAREFUL GETTING IN IF YOU BUY IT! ... show more

I set this up across two pergola posts about 10 feet apart. I didn't need any of the supplied chain. I found that one high attachment and one about 3 feet lower was better than attachment points that are level with each other. It comes with some sort of head "pillow", but it is so thin as to be hardly noticeable. I over 6 foot, and my feet are pushing against the spreader bar, it would be better if the spreader bar was an arc instead of a straight bar.
