How do I know if this is the right contactor for my equipment? If your old contactor has a 277V Coil and is rated 40A, 30A, or 25A. This 40A model is a heavy-duty upgrade for lower amp units. Rule: Coil voltage must be exact; Amps can be higher, but never lower than your original one. Will this work for my home air conditioner? Likely NOT. Most residential air conditioners use a 24V coil (controlled by thermostat). This contactor has a 277VAC coil, typically in commercial or industrial lighting systems. Check your old contactor's label for "Coil Voltage" before ordering. Does this contactor support Auxiliary Contacts? Yes. This model features standard mounting points on the side for adding auxiliary contact blocks (Snap-on type), check our SUNLEE Auxiliary switch. How many lighting zones can this control? The 4-Pole Normally Open design allows you to control up to four separate 277V lighting circuits simultaneously. Each pole acts as an independent switch, so you can distribute a heavy lighting load across the four poles. Does a 277V coil need a neutral? Usually yes. Use Hot (277V) + Neutral on A1/A2.
