My home is built in the 50s, so I had this gigantic 1950s 110 volt coil starter for my sprinkler pump. As my modern sprinkler controller is 24 V control circuit pump I needed a 24 V coil contractor. I used a couple of self tapping screws to mount it in the old starter box. It works perfect.

Am a home DIY'er replaced a 20 yo OEM contactor switch to my A/C unit which was a 1 pole switch, after reviewing some youtube videos it was best to upgrade to a 2 pole switch, this contactor switch was the perfect fit, the price was great and for what I would have paid an HVAC tech to replace $(190-600), what a bargain for DIY'ers out there.

"Contactor worked perfectly. The biggest challenge was installing the high voltage wires between the terminals. Otherwise, I'm reading a perfect 240v, which is ideal. Replaced the old one because it would spark at the low voltage terminals (top ones) whenever it turned on."

Works as it should. I replaced a $700. electronically controlled motor with a $100. capacitor start motor and added the contactor. AC still working great.
