A prison guard must come to terms with a heinous crime he committed, a grievous event that haunts his humanity to the breaking point, and how his family copes with his unraveling disposition. The authors brand the reader with the deep diving emotional turmoil affecting Gordon, a prison guard who enjoyed beating the prisoners into submission, forced into retirement.
