I recently installed one of these bulbs in one of my six kitchen ceiling fixtures. This equivalent to 100 watt bulb replaced an LED bulb rated as equivalent to 85 watts; it is noticeably brighter, although not overly so. As you get older, you prefer more light to see properly, so these are a good choice for me (73 years old), but should not be too bright for use by younger people. I like the 3000K color too; not too yellow, and not to white. I do not yet know about the longevity, but otherwise rate these 5 stars and I would buy them again. ... show more

Full disclosure: one bulb in this 12-pack was defective (the screw base came off) so I contacted customer service and they replaced the bulb (plus 2 extras) immediately. Part of the full experience is how a company stands behind their product, so they did great. All bulbs are installed and working properly in our high ceiling social hall. Have ordered 3 more boxes. Lights are good but Amazon ad states 16w equivalent to 120w, but box CLEARLY states 16w equivalent to 100w. Big difference!

It seems that LED bulbs never last as long as they are supposed to, no matter what company. 3000K and 100W equivalent is a bit harder to find, and these bulbs from Sunco seemed like a good deal compared to others. We've been using for a few weeks now, and all 12 bulbs worked out of the box and look great. They are very bright, and color is perfect for what we were looking for. The only downside is that these bulbs are rated for 10,000 hrs vs others that Sunco sells for 25,000 hrs. Time will tell, but hopefully they last. I'll be sure to update the review if they start to fail. I have not tried these with a dimmer, so can not comment on that. ... show more

These bulbs are noticeably brighter than the 65 watt equivalent bulbs we replaced. The circuit has a mix of both types of bulbs with the bright ones over the work areas. When dimming or turning on, our switches ramp up to brightness. These lag behind the others and tend to blink slightly when it comes on.
