In my 15x25' basement with 7' ceilings, I used 12 of the 3" lights. Spacing: I distanced them between 35-45" from the walls and 50-60" apart from each other in the middle of the room. First, please know that of the 12 lights I purchased, 3 were defective; however, Sunco immediately responded to my request through Amazon for replacements and mailed them out within one day. So great service from the manufacturer. Regarding the lights, the installation is painless, but the junction box is a bit small if you are connecting these lights on a circuit so that you need two wires coming into a box. Additionally, the ground wire in the box is roughly 50% of the length of the black and white wires, which makes getting all the ground wires connected with a wire nut a challenge. The low-profile design of the lights is quite useful, though, as I needed to work around ceiling beams several times. The brightness is what I expected, and four of these lights are sufficient to brighten a standard 14x14' room. Overall, a very effective product backed by great support when needed. ... show more

I bought the 12 pack of these & four of the light fixtures didn’t work. These are not the same ones I ordered a few years ago. I can’t even take them apart because I don’t know which ones I replaced in my house. I hate that I spent all this money for 4 of the light fixtures to not work.

I had a large project coming up so I bought boxes as I could afford them. All the same kind. Once I had enough I called my electrician. He installed the living room 1st (not pictured). We immediately noticed every time the lights are completely dimmed, half of them flickered!!! We could only dim them half way to avoid flickering. The electrician then installed the basement lights that are pictured here. Bright works fine. When you dim them the back lights (closer to the LSU banner) are very dark! And the lights up front are bright! The lights should be dim equally! I wish I had a return window to get my money back! Again, I bought as I could afford then called the electrician when I could afford. This was over a 4 month span and the quality changed!!! I used these lights before in smaller rooms like a laundry, closet and kitchen. Max lights installed per room was 4. No issue's but they weren't on a dimmer. ... show more
