  • Don't think twice

So ,I bought two dog houses from suncast different sizes because I wasn't sure about the sizes. I bought the blue one and green one. Afraidly, because I never shop on Amazon I take a chance and make the purchase. I gotta tell you by far after looking around for something reasonable with quality I'm glad I made this purchase. It's great for large dogs as well and because now I have two 4 month old huskies keeping in mind that they will get big I needed something that they could fit in. It was so easy to put together and easy to follow instructions. Only thing is that you're probably going to have to set the houses on top of small bricks just to keep from water going inside if it ever rains, bottom board seems to be a little thin but it's not bad. If you're having second thoughts about this don't! You'll be happy you made this purchase. Thank you suncast and amazon! Dakota, Storm and Princess love their houses. ... show more

  • Great House for the Price!
Number of Items: 1
So far, this dog house is wonderful! Super easy to put together (I did it by myself). Seems to be pretty resilient to weather, even to some flooding and high winds. I am not using this in its conventional way, this is actually a house for my two Pekin Ducks.

  • Worth the money :)

Best dog house. Very easy to put them together, took me 10 minutes to put two dog houses together. It has a lot of room inside than it looks. I think it is pretty cheap compared to the quality you get. It looks very neat, cute and appealing to your eyes. First when I opened the package, the plastic looked little flimsy, but after putting it together, the parts hold each other pretty firm. The one thing I disliked was the plastic "door." It has a great purpose and all that, but has strong smell of plastic that might irritate dogs. I recommend putting the plastic doors outdoor for few days to get rid of the "new plastic smell." Other than that, it is a perfect house for any size dogs. My small terrier loves the space she has in the house because she can hide a lot of treats from my big doberman. Also, the house is cozy for my big doberman pincher. I would definately recommend to others who wants indoor/outdoor dog house. ... show more

  • Not for dogs that like to chew.

Quick delivery and easy to put together but not for dogs that like to chew. Only a week old and our dog has definitely left her mark on it. Still can't complain though. The dog house is everything the ad said it was.

  • Economical Dog House for a Large Dog
Number of Items: 1
I live in Nevada where it gets hot, really really hot and with plastic items you can often get sun rot, so in choosing a dog house plastic is not always the best option. This Dog house has made it through one very hot summer and one very cold winter and held up very well. It is not the deluxe super dog house you will get if you find one made of wood or have it built but for a quick easy to set up and economical dog house this does well. We did put insulation on the floor of it during the winter to help keep the chill of the ground from seeping in but we have also done that with our sturdy wood dog house as well. I was able to assemble this by myself thought there where a couple moments where I felt I was playing twister to fit all the pieces together still even with that it only took about 20 minutes and it was dog ready. Our dog is a large sized Chocolate Lab and he has plenty of room, in fact when his friend visits (she is a golden) they just bunk down together if it is chilly out and they have enough room. I will say that I only expect this dog house to last 2-3 years in our weather conditions, but for the price that is a lot of use. Also we can take it apart so if we need to travel we can take it with us and put it back together at our destination (we have done this when we went to visit my dad's ranch for a few weeks over the summer) UPDATE: I bumped this up from 4 stars to 5 stars after a major storm ripped through our area. Our sturdy more expensive dog house managed to lose it's roof. Though this one traveled a few feet it was perfectly intact and our dog was sheltering from the storm just fine. ... show more

  • Great for outside kitties!
Number of Items: 1
I bought this "dog" house as shelter for a couple of outside stray cats I feed, & care for. It's so big, I was able to fit their beds they'd been using on my patio inside. ( 1, a bottom of an old carrier, & 1, a large extra litter box I'd had). I also put a tarp over it, & tucked it under the bottom to help keep the cold wind out, because there is space for it to get in under the overhang. It was fairly easy to put together, but did need my dad's help, as it does require two sets of hands to get some of it together! I purchased a afagan & fleece blanket from good will, along w/ some I already had, to make it cozy & warm in there. I also bought an outside cord safe heated pet pad to put in there for them. I'm on the coast of NC, so thankfully it doesn't get too cold, but we have had some nights get down in the 20's! I wanted them to have a warm safe place to sleep. I was so happy it arrived before Christmas!! I thought they may be apprehensive to go in w/ the door flaps down, so I taped them up to start, then eventually was able to put one down. The tarp helped in another way as well, as it had been over an old, large microwave box , before getting this house for them, so it was familiar, & helped w/ them going in to use the house. I clipped it as closed as I could in front, to help keep rain out, as some does get in, in the front. So beds are scooted to the back. I put the fleece blanket in front of the beds, tucked around them, to help create a little barrier from the cold. I also have it sitting up on a little platform to help keep any water out. Oh, & I have it against my glass doors, so had my dad cut a window in it, so I could see if they're in there, keep an eye on them, etc.. he did a nice job, sealing a piece of plexiglass in for the window. 😊❣️ ... show more
