Suncast Glidetop 98 Cubic Foot Horizontal Shed Storage. I couldn't be happier with this shed. I actually own an older version of this Suncast shed that's been sitting in my backyard for about 23 years, so I had a good idea of what to expect. This new model is a significant improvement in both design and construction. Assembly was surprisingly easy, even for someone like me who doesn't put a lot of things together. There are only a handful of major pieces, and the only real tool you'll need is a Phillips screwdriver for a few screws. Suncast also includes an "Easy Driver" tool for installing the Easy Bolts that lock the panels together, which worked very well. I assembled mine in place under my deck where I only had about four inches of clearance above the shed, and I had no problems putting it together with that little top clearance. Installing the doors was much easier than on the older version. The updated hinge design made installation and alignment simple, and they open and close smoothly. I installed it on a bed of gravel with nine 12"x12" landscape blocks supporting it with 3 rows of 3 (three spaced along all sides one one in the middle). Getting the base perfectly level was honestly the hardest part of the whole project. I had an old wooden shed in this location that had to be removed when our new deck was built, this fit the space perfectly. The only small issue I ran into was that the 2 front side panels didn't quite slide tightly together completely during assembly just from my pushing them together. Almost but just not all the way. I used a rubber mallet to tap them into place. If you need to do this, don't hit the end of the panel as you could damage it. Instead, tap on one of the inner channels, which you can see in my picture of the side panels, about a foot from the ends. They moved into place after just a couple of light taps and fit together perfectly. I can tell you that the assembly of this version was much much easier than the assembly of the one out in my far backyard I put together 20 years ago. The parts just slide together much better in this new version especially the roof panel. One thing I immediately noticed compared to my older Suncast shed is the improved structural design. My old one has had the roof blown off several times over the years during strong winds while it's been in the far back yard. This new model has a much more robust design that looks like it will handle wind much better although for me with this under my deck enclosed on 3 sides I don't anticipate wind being an issue. Regardless, the durability has been improved structurally for this iteration. After a couple of heavy rains, I checked inside and everything has stayed completely dry. No leaks at all. Right now I'm storing my push mower, wheelbarrow, and several garden tools, and there's still room to organize everything. The reinforced floor feels very solid and supports the weight without any issues. Overall, this is an excellent storage shed. It's easy to assemble, well designed, completely weatherproof so far, and a noticeable improvement over the already durable Suncast model I've owned for over two decades. Based on my experience with both generations, I expect to get many years of service out of this one.

For additional yard-care equipment storage, I needed just the right shed to accompany a fairly large standard type of shed I'd built years ago from a pre-cut kit, rather like assembling a 3-D puzzle. (The wood wasn't the best, so I'd never do that again.) I spent hours looking at the multitude of possibilities online, finally settling on this one. The sliding roof was a definite attraction so that I wouldn't have crab into it hunched over. This one turned out to be just what I needed. With careful arrangement, it contains a limb chopper, corded electric lawn mower (backup now), a more powerful battery-operated lawn mower, a good-sized two-wheel wheelbarrow, and a very sturdy yard wagon, with room for a few smaller items that can be tucked in. The instructions recommend building it on a wooden or concrete foundation, which I certainly understand, but I used very carefully leveled 12" x 12" x 2" masonry blocks. I say carefully leveled, and I'm not kidding. It took some doing but I did it, anchoring the shed floor into those blocks as if it was concrete. It is very firm and stable---and was a lot less hassle than pouring a concrete pad. It did take great care to do it right, however. The assembly instructions were pretty good (I could have suggested a couple of improvements, but nothing serious), allowing me to do the whole thing in good order without delay. I also did it by myself, although two images are depicted in the instructions for a couple or three parts of the assembly. Anyone who is of at least average strength can likely do it him/herself. It all fits together just as the directions suggest, although sometimes it requires a little wiggling and jiggling to get things to set into place. (That's OK: Who want's a loose fit?) About that sliding roof. One name-brand similar shed I looked at---it also had a sliding roof and was more expensive--- looked pretty good until I read the reviews. Quite a few marked this one down for having a sliding roof that was not very easy to slide. I'm very glad I got this one, because the roof never fails to slide with complete ease. I've had this up for about 3.5 months now, through some heavy rain and blazing south Texas sun, and it exhibits no signs of warping or deformation at all, and I have detected no moisture inside even when, as happened a couple of nights when it was really storming, the wind was blowing very briskly. Sheds are not really designed to be decorative set pieces (unless you decide spend big bucks, but why not get a fancy bird bath instead?), but it looks just as a good and well made shed should look. I should mention that the doors properly close with no difficulty, the locking mechanism aligns properly with no manual acrobatics necessary, and it is at least as good as one might expect to get for the price. One final matter. Consider getting this lock, which fits perfectly: Master Lock Magnum heavy duty outdoor padlock with key, weather-resistant body and cut-resistant shackle, #M115XDLF, selling on Amazon today for about $14.50.

Easy to assemble despite unclear labeling of screws and parts. Better to do with 2 people. Takes about an hour to finish. Well made, and good fit and function. Concrete base pad will remove any flex from the finished unit.

As someone who always seems to have outdoor equipment scattered around, I was looking for a way to keep things protected without committing to a full-size storage building. This storage shed ended up being a great middle ground between a deck box and a traditional shed. I assembled it near the side of my property where I keep lawn equipment, motorcycle accessories, tie-down straps, and various outdoor gear. What immediately stood out was how much storage space it actually offers. The footprint is manageable, but the interior holds far more than it appears to from the outside. The sliding lid design is what originally caught my attention, and after using it for several weeks, it’s probably my favorite feature. Instead of lifting a large heavy lid, the top glides open smoothly and gives quick access to everything inside. When I’m grabbing equipment before mowing or loading gear for a weekend trip, that convenience makes a difference. The dual front doors combined with the sliding top make it easy to access larger items. I don’t have to unload half the shed just to reach something stored toward the back. Everything feels more accessible than with many traditional storage boxes I’ve owned. Assembly was straightforward for a project of this size. I took my time and had it together in an afternoon without needing specialized tools or construction experience. The panels fit together cleanly, and once assembled, the structure felt solid and stable. The resin construction has also been a plus. Living in an area where equipment is exposed to intense sun, dust, occasional rain, and temperature swings, I wanted something that wouldn’t require regular painting or maintenance. So far, it’s simply been a matter of putting things inside and forgetting about it. One thing I particularly appreciate is the included floor. Easy to assemble. Sturdy and perfect for what we need it for. This is a great supplement to our larger permanent shed. It fit perfectly under our deck. Don’t really need the sliding roof feature, but good to know it’s there. Was able to fit 3 E-bikes, lawn mower, Air compressor, Power washer, deck cushions with plenty of room to spare. Will rotate Winter items in the Spring. Very satisfied purchase.

I put this together with the help of one other person in an afternoon. Took about 2-3 hours. Many portions can be done singly but very helpful to have a 2nd set of hands and strength especially when assembling the side panels to the floor. The instructions were very easy to read and understand. Just needed a screwdriver to assemble. Honestly can't boast enough about the simplicity of putting it together. Plus, it's holding 2 adult bikes, 3 kids bikes and 2 kids scooters. It's a tight fit but works! I haven't had it long enough to speak to the waterproof aspect but highly impressed with the quality and ease of assembly. Highly recommend!!

I thought that this would be perfect for my Cub Cadet riding mower and I could free up space in my larger shed. Not so much. There is no way to drive it in and have room to get off the mower. This meant disengaging the transmission bypass lever and pushing it in from the rear of the mower every time. Getting it back out was a whole different animal. I am a 68 yr old smaller woman and I suppose I could do that but I don't want to risk slipping and or pulling something and with my closest neighbor being 1/4 a mile away it's not worth the risk. but it's up and staying up. I just transferred some other stuff out of the big wooden shed and made room for the cubbie, it's all good. It was easy to put together outside of the floor that's in 2 pieces I had to have my neighbor help me with it, while I stood on one piece he shoved the other piece into place. The rest was a one woman job. It's really sturdy as well made well worth the money just not wide enough for my mower.

Easy, straightforward assembly, but it’s in your best interest to have a second set of hands. I made a foundation out of concrete pavers from Lowe’s. It was $70 for 35, which was a perfect size and amount. Assembly took about an hour, plus another 30-45 minutes to make sure it was level. The joy of having our 2 bicycles out of the garage pays for this thing by itself. One of them is a huge fat tire e-bike and there is still about half of the shed to fill. Glide top is smooth. I just put it in the backyard today, so time will tell if creatures and/or rain gets in there. As of now, I’m very happy with it. Seems sturdy enough. I will update my review if anything changes.
