I took a chance after reading all the reviews about it being not that sturdy. However, I see their point but we have a solution we drove some medal poles in the ground and zip tied them to it and it is much better. Also, put it together in no time with no issues at all. I probably will buy a few more for the trash cans and AC. So, take a chance and make a few adjustments because there is not much out there if you want brown woven patterns. I wanted to give it 4 stars or maybe even 3.5 but I hope this helps you with your decision while shopping. ... show more

Bought a set of these in August 2015 to hide my 32 gal trash can and a blue city recycling box. I live in NE FL where we do get quite a bit of wind and they've been holding up just fine. Most of the "flimsy" and "won't stand up to wind" complaints I've read on here have them sit on concrete. These are not meant to be free standing. That's why they have long metal poles: they need to driven into the ground, until the top knob of the pole is as far down as it will go, resting on the top hinge of the panels. I'm here to scout for a second set to hide my ginormous "every 2 weeks pick up" city provided recycling can that replaced the little "once a week" blue box. If you're looking for an economical solution to hide your "around the house" stuff, these are perfect. ... show more

5 STAR for the PRICE and although everyone complains how it's flimsy - well plan ahead folks or pay more. When I installed mine - two pieces have support - one rests against a cement wall so it is not moving; and the other against the pool equipment. If you sink all the rods in and make a corner it is just fine. It nicely covered all my pool equipment. Today is a windy day here in the desert and it is standing up fine. If I had $200 or $300 then yes could have a better lattice wood or custom built pool equipment cover, but for around $50 this is perfect. ... show more

Love the color. Easy to assemble. Not sturdy at all BUT it provides closure to AC unit for my dog to stop nosing around back there. I have no dirt rather concrete. Will stop at lowes and pick up 8 or 16 bricks. I'm thinking 2 in front and back of each panel to keep it sturdy. I'll try it and hope it works. The design is perfect for the purpose intended. UPDATE 7/10/18: Added sturdier poles to stand on concrete also added 4 cinder blocks for securing weight as well to avoid falling over. So far so good! ... show more

These panels are really nice. Some might consider them flimsy if your just using the metal post that come with the set. I personally wanted them to hold up during our freezing weather. I took rebar and sprayed them the same color of the panels and used them to reenforce the posts. I then used flex ties and attached them to the panels. They don't fade and they look classy from the street. I used them to hide me ugly garbage cans. I highly recommend but the posts that come with the four panels are light weight. Don't let that stop you from buying this set. The rebar is cheap and helped keep these panels up during 12" of snow ... show more

Several years ago I purchased the white version of this and it held up to the weather and kids so when we moved into our new place I knew I wanted to get another one. I purchased this to visually block a large a/c unit. The 4 panel works well in blocking 90% of the a/c unit. For anyone looking into buying on of these, make sure you are able to hammer the poles down into the ground where you wish to place the panels otherwise they will fall down with a heavy wind or rain. ... show more

    • Good deal for the price.
I was a little nervous about ordering this after seeing some reviews about the quality. Honestly I think those complaints have more to do with people not following instructions. I needed an outside heat pump style unit hidden with something that looks ok and can be adjusted as needed. It was perfect, I'm happy. 10/31/2020 update So now that we survived the remnants of zeta blowing thru I can tell you that even though I live in an area that sustained LOTS of damage, these panels survived just fine. ... show more
