Our monstrous new pool components are so much bigger, louder than old ones & ugly! We needed a solution that could be removed fairly easily if pool guys need to work on pipes. We also need regular access to heater. We didn't want to invest in permanent expensive privacy fence panels & installation at this time. After looking at many DYI "hide pool pump" solutions which involved building units from scratch I saw these & figured they were worth a try. They were very easy to install. They match our vinyl fence fairly well. We needed 2 4pc sets. Please know these panels are fairly thin, flimsy & only finished on one side, hence the price. Because of other reviews we decided to zip tie the tops to give them a little more stability in the wind. For the end panels we put pipe sleeves in ground & rods can be lifted out so panel can swing out like gate if needed. My husband says he's putting in more pipe sleeves when he takes them down for winter (as they're not really strong enough) so we can just pop them back up in the spring. We haven't had strong storms yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they fall or tilt because our dirt is still somewhat loose from a year ago construction. At least they're easy to put back up. Hopefully they won't break if they tilt. My biggest worry is will they stay white?? Any white resin chairs we had in the past got nasty over time. We'll see I guess. If you want a permanent, no worries, not dyi option these are not for you. If you want a cheap, problem solving solution then these are a huge money saving option that looks nice. We're only in for $150 as we got "like new" option. Next is AC unit! ... show more

If you’re looking for something simple and you have little dogs, this works perfectly. I took bricks at the bottom so the dog would not get out, but it’s perfect. You have a little bit of privacy.

    • Way overpriced for being so lightweight

You will definitely need a helper when you set up these thin, cheap looking panels. Start by connecting 2 panels with one of the provided aluminum rods. Let go of it and the whole thing will immediately fall down. While your helper holds the 2 panels up (don't try to set these up on a breezy day), you will have to use a hammer to pound the rod into the ground; and this is where the problems start. The connected panels are quite close together and only a smallish hammer (to pound the rod into the ground) will fit between them. I suppose if you have very soft soil, this won't be a problem. But if you have moderately "difficult" soil then you are going to have problems. You won't make much headway with your smallish hammer and the hammer will keep slipping off the rounded plastic rod cover. The end of the rod that goes into the ground is nice and round (not sharpened) and as soon as it encounters any size rock, that will be the end of it's journey. And even if by some miracle you manage to get all the rods fully into the ground, the slightest breeze will have your panels tilting precariously. This setup would work better if you have something sturdy (a couple of trees, lampposts, etc) to attach the panels to. If you need something to hide your trash cans or A/C unit, a few large potted plants from the local nursery will work a lot better. Also better looking, easier to install and probably no more expensive than this overpriced box of plastic. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money.

Too light to withstand even a mild breeze. It’s worthless to me, and I can’t return it because my gardener put it together and threw away the box. I can’t return it without the box, so I’m up a creek without a paddle. I just wasted $100 bucks or so. I won’t be ordering for a while.

    • Fencing companies trying to price gouge me so I put up my own

This is easy peasy. I've bought a bunch of fencing panels to put together my own fence for my sweet German Shepherd Sugar. She likes it. She jumps on it sometimes when she sees birds and squirrels and a sandhill crane couple and a little kitty cat coming through her property, but it stays strong. In Central Florida fencing companies want to play games for me. Obviously this is not as good as a professional job, but it does not look bad, and it is staying put during some high winds down here for about 6 months now. I zip tied the panels together and to my home for extra security. I'll try some concrete, too, if need be, although I'd like it to be temporary. If it blows away in a hurricane, well, I would not have lost more than a few hundred dollars. So I've created a small lot against my home, enough for her to play in, not my whole property. Better than $22,000 for my whole property (just under 2 acres). Funny, 8 years ago 2 acres cost me $2200 in Tennessee. Two zeroes. I actually told the BBB accredited contractor that and he stuck on an extra zero and sent me a firm contract to sign when I just asked for a ballpark estimate. Price gouging. Condescending. Playing games. Being MEAN. And I was always so nice to people. Punish the caregivers. Yeah, I'll take this over dealing with a hateful contractor price gouging me and then BOOM, it's all gone in a hurricane. ... show more
