there are okay for cherry keys 1.5 mm which is thinner then the standard 2 mm or 4 mm options that are made for cherry keys they are too small for razor keys if you have a razor keyboard you will need a bigger ring to dampen the sound they will go on the post but they are too thin and the key will still bottom out most of the time for a razor keyboard try O-Rings that are 1/4" ID, 3/8" OD, 1/16" 50 -a to 70 -a Durometer, ... show more

  • Simple, effective adjustment for mechanical keyboards
Color: Clear
There's not much to write about on these little upgrades. They're very inexpensive and can definitely diminish the sound created by mechanical keys bottoming out. They will NOT remove the clicking in the switch itself. They also do not change the travel of the key, which I have noticed as a comment in other reviews (not necessarily on this item). They raise the key higher than it was initially set on the switch, but do not affect the travel of the switch. It may feel different (totally does), but this isn't a lack of functionality, but a difference in memory. They do let light through without any problem and were very easy to put on with just a quick push. Personally, I moved fastest through the keys by seating them on the keycap stem, then using the force of press getting the key back on the switch to push it into place. No issues at all. Definitely quieter overall.. but not so quiet you can't tell it's a mechanical keyboard. ... show more

  • Made my mechanical keyboard acceptable at work
Color: Clear
So I got a mechanical keyboard... A Qisan MagicForce 68 if it matters... And it really annoyed my colleagues, cos you know, mechanical keys are a lot louder than the Macs we’re used to in the office. That is why I got these and they did the job! I still get to go crazy on my mechanical keyboard, and I’m not bothering anyone anymore (or at least a lot less). And if it so happens that those jobs are still too loud for you, then add doubles! You can, you’ve got a 200 count here! Just one piece of advice: don’t put any on the Escape & Enter keys. You can, of course. But you don’t want to. The satisfaction of hitting that loud key is just too good. :D :D :p ... show more

  • Best value rings for mechanical keyboard
Color: Clear
I am not an expert on mechanical keyboards, but my two keyboards made relatively loud sounds (one is w/ brown switch and the other is w/ red). It might be due to my typing style - aggressively bottoming out w/ no reason... I have installed these to the red switch and it felt good (little bit muffed). However, I didn't like the typing feeling on the brown switched keyboard afte installing the rings - I removed the rings from the brown switched keyboard and figured out how to adjust my typing style... Installing/uninstalling was easy. For the wider keys (especially, backspace, return, and space bar), I have used double amounts to have similar feeling as a single key - not sure why I hit those keys more aggressively than others. Once you lay out your own preference (how many rings you would like to use on each key), it's time to play with your new toy. Happy typing!!! ... show more

  • They DO work
Color: Clear
You have to look at this for what it is. You either bought a mechanical keyboard, not really understanding what you were getting, OR, your significant other despises you for having a loud keyboard (my case). Either way, the nature of a mechanical keyboard is to make noise. These will DAMPEN the noise; specifically, the sound that is created by either the fact that it was a cheap keyboard (my case), or, you're a hard typist (also, my case). I bought these for my $30 blue switch keyboard (my $70 brown switch keyboard sounds amazing). These do actually make a little bit of a difference, but you have to understand that the larger keys are still going to be louder, and you're not going to completely eliminate the clacking when you bottom out the keys. They're also not going to remove the sound of the switch itself. They help, overall. Personally, I think these are worth it...but again, and I can't stress this enough, these will not make a significant difference. ... show more

  • Inexpensive But Great Mechanical Keyboard Upgrade.
Color: Clear
I have a Keychron K6 keyboard with Gateron "blue" switches. While I like the click from a "blue" switch I am not crazy about the bottoming out noise and fingers get fatigued after awhile. These tiny "shock absorbers" are amazing. They all but eliminated all noise from the pressing of keys with the exception of the "blue switch click" and a hollow sound heard at key return. These are amazing little devices and made typing much more enjoyable. For 3 cents per key you just can't go wrong. I then replaced the stock K6 key caps with PBT caps and these rings. The K6 with PBT caps and "O" rings is now my favorite keyboard. The caps feel better than the stock and the return sound is deeper. I am going to order more of these rings for a couple keyboards with "brown" switches", one with ABS and another with PBT caps. For $6 I think I will have "new" keyboards. ... show more

Color: Clear
Until you put them on you don't realize the hard stop, when the key bottoms out, with them in place the bottoming out does not hurt your fingers. Bottom line they solved a problem I didn't know I had, but once I had them in place I quickly pulled every key and made sure they had these rings in place because my finger could tell the difference ... show more
