I did not have any trouble getting the film off that others said they had. It was easy to remove and I only needed to clean my fingerprints off before pressing. Here are the steps I took Heat the blank for 10 seconds to remove moisture Design face up on the press, blank face down 365 for 90 seconds Don't remove the design till it cools completely A great video is Jennifer Maker. Initially, my husband bought this for me. The packaging says, “This is a set. Do not separate.” When I reordered it myself, I thought I was getting TWO at this price. Now that I know it’s only one for $12, I am less pleased. The first one was damaged. I made it work with some paint. The twine it comes with is about 1/2 the length pictured and unravels when trying to place it in the holes. The plastic film is time consuming to remove and the wood is prone to damage when trying to remove it. With all of that said, is does sublimate beautifully at 365 for 90 seconds. So I am torn if I will order more. There is not much room for profit when your blank costs $12. ... show more

I recently purchased this to make a gift for my dad. I was a little nervous as I read in other reviews that the protective film left a sticky residue. Although, it did leave a sticky residue I did as one of the reviews said and clean it off with acetone and I used a magic eraser to help scrub it off. It did not take too long to wipe it off. It sublimated so nicely will be purchasing again for another project! ... show more
