I have 3 hour long lectures four times a week and I only need to charge it every two weeks, whereas with the Apple Pencil, I need to charge it after every class. I purchased this pen as a backup but it has quickly become my go to pen and I only use my original when this pen needs to charge. It writes crisp and clear, it is perfect for when I am drawing too, and it acknowledges every part of my writing even if I write in cursive or calligraphy. It is very comfortable to hold as it has a nice little flat area for your thumb to rest on with the remainder area being a smooth curve, it is super light weight, and is made of quality material. I also like that it came in a nice box with extra replacement nibs/tips. I have used it on a tablet that has no screen protector and it hasn't scratched or done any damage to my screen at all. It writes smoothly and understands all my writing/drawing. I have also used it on a tablet with a screen protector which it performs even better. With the screen protector it writes like butter, it's super smooth, and glides effortlessly. I must point out that the nib does loosen over time when writing so you have to retighten it or it doesn't read well when that happens. The battery on this pen is phenomenal! I believe the description said it would last roughly 10 hours on a full charge but I have gone well over that, extremely over. While I really like and use this pen all the time - sadly it has one thing that drives me absolutely crazy, which is that if you even brush the end of the pen in the slightest it will turn off, so for this reason I am deducting a star because it happens way too frequently. If the location of the power was on the side this pen would be absolutely perfect. ... show more

I am so happy I got this! I was hesitant to spend so much money on the apple pen, even though most people I know prefer it. I’ve never used a pen / stylus before, but this one is all I need! The package came with a charging cord, instructions, and additional pen tips to replace with. After I got mine in the mail, I immediately went to try it. The pen itself doesn’t fit in my case (one of the ones that has a specific section for the apple pen) without a slight push to pop it in, but it’s not damaging to either the pen or ipad at all. Anyways.. The pen itself feels great in my hand and works lovely on my ipad. I am 100% new to digital art, so I did something very basic on Procreate to start with, and this pen basically did everything I needed it to. I was able to draw and shade bulbasaur with 0 issues. One light tap at the top of the pen to turn it on, one tap to turn it off! Lights change color depending on how much battery is left, and charging doesn’t take too long for mine! Yay! Now I have to go learn to draw all of Eevee’s evolutions. ... show more
