We didn't want to just take pictures of paper since that felt like a waste. This stylus was a great alternative to the much more expensive Apple Pencil. The weight is perfect for our kids, and just as easy to use for our own purposes. The accuracy is spot on, and while it doesn't necessarily come with all the same advanced functionality, it does exactly what we need it to - offer accurate writing and drawing with amazing battery life (I don't think we've charged it once since that first charge over 2 weeks ago). This is the first stylus I've tried and I will say it is VERY responsive on the iPad. I've used coloring book apps, drawing apps now with it. It works great. It comes with three different stylus tips, one which was already attached to the stylus. I actually have not tried the other tips yet. I actually really like the one that was already attached to the stylus. The charging port is in a decent location. I don't mind that it's on the pen itself. It uses a USB-C charging port. The on/off switch on the top of the stylus is very responsive as well. I'd dare say it's too responsive. I find myself sometimes turning it off when re-adjusting the stylus in my hand. When I lost my Apple pencil, I was disheartened and didn't want to spend another $100+ to get a new one. Looked around and found this pen. It feels very close to my original pencil and I like it that it has a flat side so that it stays put when I put it down. Also like that I don't have to stick it into my ipad to charge. Charges with a regular USB C cable. Mine came pre charged and I've used it for about 10 hours without needing another charge. It comes with replacement tips and is very easy to use. Remember to turn off "use only apple pencil" in your settings. There's little to no lag/ delay. I like coloring/ drawing and I've found it quite responsive. Feels like good quality and im not afraid of losing this because price was great. Would easily recommend for others looking to replace/ supplement their Apple pencil. ... show more

I got this pen specifically to take handwritten notes with my ipad 7 and Notability. I’m not using it for artwork, and also not doing OCR. I just keep and archive my notes for work. Also tried a Remarkable 2, which I really liked for this, but ended up opting for the ipad. I haven’t tried the Apple Pencil, so can’t compare. I must say I am impressed with the pencil. It works great for what it need. The only thing I wish was different would be for the pen/screen to be slightly less sensitive (it starts writing even before touching the screen, which makes for some dragging of lines, but nothing major). Also, I may replace my screen protector with a paper-like one, just because I like a little more drag when writing. For the price, this pencil is a steal, and highly recommended! ... show more

I was curious about using pen with an ipad but never bought into it as the official apple one is way overpriced. I was pretty surprised about have nifty this thing is. It doesn't require a bluetooth connection- just tap the top of the pen to wake it up and it works. It supports both point drawing and tilting for wider strokes. Charging with usb c is always a plus- tired of accessories dying from micro usb ports failing. I didn't realize it at the time of purchase, but the pen has a flat side with magnets inside. It's not strong enough to hold securely to my 5th gen ipad, but it's well strong enough to leave attached to the monitor arm on my desk. I wouldn't trust magnet stowage on a mobile device anyways out of fear of losing it, so it's a definite plus for desk organization. Photo included for size comparison. ... show more

I bought this stylus/pen to ise with 3D modeling apps on my iPad 7th gen. The pen works great so far and is easy to use. The charging via USB-c is nice and red means charging and then it will turn green when its fully charged. I like the touch on and off however I found a couple times that I held the pen further back that I would accidentally turn it off since the end made enough contact with my wrist or arm. I like this stylus since it was cheap compared to the Apple branded version. It also came with extra tips which is always great. Its light weight and feels good in my hand while using it. I use a tempered glass screen cover and it worked without issue. Great product and worth the 30$ for me. Overall it does the job well and I am really looking forward to using it more often. ... show more

I just purchased this pencil for my daughter to use as she is in 1st grade and is distance learning. The school still wants to see student handwriting improvements and they are using many apps where the students are writing, not typing in. The other stylus types with the big rubber at the end and are not very accurate with showing handwriting. This is a great alternative as it is a third of the cost and writes very well with the tip. if you are coloring you can also rub the side of this pencil as you would a real pencil and get similar effects. So far we like this product. The only thing, pay close attention to the models that it works with as this does not work with an older iPad, just my newer model. ... show more
