  • Best Possible Choice 💘
Color: Blue + White
The media could not be loaded. Tired of spending crazy money at the laundromat while at the family cabin for 6 months/year, or filling up my car with dirty laundry when I have to go home periodically, I decided to try out this portable washer/spinner. So glad I did!! In the few weeks I've been using it, it has paid for itself. Honestly I like it better than my big machine at home. It's fun and easy to use, gets my clothes cleaner and fresher smelling in a much shorter time, uses less water/energy/soap as well. I have elderly dogs and use "dog towels" which need frequent washing. I can bring less clothing to the cabin as I can run a small load anytime. I purchased a drying rack from Amazon a few years ago. I set it up on a sunny deck and after spinning (w/no wrinkles like in my big machine at home) items dry in about an hour. I use my new washer in an old tub (see pic). A small hose attached to tub faucet fills, and it drains into tub drain w/attached drain hose, works perfectly. I didn't need to raise up the machine (which is nearly impossible anyway) and yes a little water gets under machine when draining, but it is definitely not an issue. I love this little machine. It saves hours and many dollars at the laundromat. I have a few tips: dont use too much soap, use liquid as the pods are gonna be too much soap for any load that fits, ,and while you can rinse on the wash side after washing and draining, just filling up again w/fresh water, I have found that using minimal soap, sufficient water and not too many items per load, AND adding a little liquid water softener right in w/the soap during the wash cycle, cleans and softens without the need of rinsing at all..as long as items aren't excessively dirty. If you are careful with the lint holder, empty after each load, let it dry and carefully snap it back in, it will last and function well. I leave the tops open to dry machine after using. Press the vented plastic piece onto the wet clothes on spinner side and it takes about a minute to spin water out. I recommend not overloading either side. It's just me and my dogs. This is not designed for use by a large family, maybe just as a backup. All said, it's an amazing little machine and I believe I chose the best one at the best price! ... show more

  • So glad I bought this
Color: Grey+White
The media could not be loaded. I did not like this the first couple of times I used it. Now after getting acclimated on how much water/clothing/soap ratio, it’s great! I read all the reviews and I’m grateful for others suggestions because I found it easier to just use a basin to fill the water instead of trying to hook it up and my shower head leaks, *that’s next on my to do list. I’ve learned that some clothes need to be spun twice to get excess water out. The spinner does get most of the water out but still slightly damp, you’ll have to hang them for a bit, I absolutely love hanging my clothes outside and they smell like fresh air. I did notice my t-shirts are a bit “floppy” because no dryer, I put it on soft cycle for cotton clothes, less twisting of the fabric. I have forgotten to close the drain a couple of times, so double check before filling. It’s more manual work than a regular washer but better than the laundry mat. I can’t let my clothes pile up because I can’t do huge loads. Despite the little inconveniences-I am so happy I bought this! I live in a studio and I just take it out of the shower when I need to use it. My clothes get clean and oddly enough, it’s kind of fun using it. Don’t put in too much soap! And if you use the good smelly beads-put them in first with a little warm water to dissolve. This was a great buy, I recommend it, just be patient with “getting your groove “ with this little gem. I originally gave this 4 stars because of the extra work involved-but that’s because I’ve been spoiled. This machine does exactly as described, so 5 stars! ... show more

  • Decent for apartments
Color: Blue + White
My building has no laundry on site. Out of desperation I bought this and a drying rack. I live alone so I don’t need to do tons of laundry, but I also don’t want to have to go to the laundromat all the time. The worst part of using this is that I need to hang my clothes to dry. It’s not that bad, but it takes a long time (I usually do it over night for about 10-12 hours), and also clothes don’t rebound that way, so shirt necks stay stretched out and socks stay stretched out a little. Not a big deal, but I do wish I had a dryer. This was a decent compromise. It’s not the most convenient but at least I can use it at home. It’s not too heavy to lift, but it is a little bulky and awkward. It seems pretty durable and I’ve been using it for about a year. It works well. My clothes smell good and feel clean. You need to use less detergent than you would think or you’ll end up having to do a rinse cycle of just water to get them fully rinsed. I use about 1/4 of a capful for a “full load”. A full load for me is about 1 pair of pants, 2 or 3 shirts, 2 or 3 pairs of boxers and 4 or 5 pairs of socks. What I do is put it right in my bathtub, plug it in next to my medicine cabinet, and just put the drain hose on the floor of the tub pointing at the drain. I use my shower hose to fill it most of the way, put in detergent and clothes. I set it to the max (15mins) and let it do its thing. The you change the dial from “normal” to “drain” and drain out the water. Turn the dial back and fill it with water again, and this time add some fabric softener. I run it for about 5 or 6 minutes this time, and drain again. As it’s draining I open the spin basin and start wringing out the wet clothes and filling the spin side. Once it’s full I put in the plastic protector thing, close the lid and put run spin on max (5 mins). I repeat this until all the clothes are spun out. The spin side is smaller and can’t do all of the clothes at once, so I have to do 2 or 3 spin cycles. After each spin cycle I hang up the now less wet but still slightly damp clothes on a drying rack (shirts I put on hangers on my shower rod). ... show more
