I’ve been waiting for a product like this to arrive, and it’s finally here!! I bought this makeup sponge cleaner the same day that I knew of its existence, and I’m so happy that I did because I absolutely adore it! I’m only 31 years old, but I’ve already had carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, and need it done on my left hand, so the many squeeze/resoak/squeeze/resoak that it took to wash/rinse my makeup sponges could sometimes become extremely painful. So much so that my husband would offer to do that part. Having this makeup sponge cleaner on hand has eliminated the need for me to have help from anyone, while doing something that can be extremely satisfying to watch! Watching all the foundation being mashed out of the sponge and then also being spun out is very satisfying! I will admit that sometimes after the sponge cleaner has finished spinning, I have found a watered down “line” of foundation in the clean sponges that was created from it being clamped down in the cleaner/spinner. To combat this, I do a rinse cycle. I mash all of my sponges individually for the initial cleaning, but for my “rinse cycle” I just add clean boiling water into the bowl and mash them one more time, but altogether. Then I do one additional spin for each sponge/blender. This device works perfectly, and it really has helped me complete a task that was very very painful without it…and to do it SOOO much quicker! ... show more

    • Truly cleaned my makeup sponges
I thought I was getting my beauty blender/makeup sponges clean. Then I saw how this sponge cleaner worked and I was curious. Imagine my surprise and pleasure when I put it to the test and found that there was still makeup hiding in the sponges. I just don't have the strength in my hands to really, really squeeze out all of the makeup. I thought I did. Now I know that all the makeup is being removed and my sponges truly are clean.     • Confusing at first
I was a little confused on how to set this up at first. Didn't seem like it was doing all that good of a job, but then seemed like it actually did a good job. I got the solution that goes with this instead of just using soap and water. It squeezed the sponges well and got a lot of the foundation out of them. Much better than my hand could of done. Just set them aside to dry for a few days. Just a pain setting this up and cleaning it up. ... show more

This worked ok. It was overall not preferable to hand washing for me in terms of time and steps that were needed. However, as a Neurodivergent person, I think this could be a great kit for those who have sensory issues with soaking wet dirty makeup sponges. Or even for those with really long nice nails they don't want to possibly damage through the whole cleaning process which manually, is pretty time-consuming too. I would however like to find a different cleanser that works well with this system as this one leaves a bit of a residue. ... show more

This squeeze makeup sponge cleaner is helpful with getting your old and dirty sponges clean and extending their usefulness. It does not necessarily eliminate the mess or shorten the time involved in cleaning them, so I have mixed feelings on this. It is a little pricey, so for this reason it probably is not a worthwhile choice for everyone. ... show more

Not the answer we were looking for. My daughter and I have another "self-cleaning" system so thought we would try this so we could each have one. Well this one falls so short of what I had hoped it would be. Honestly it is more worth than just running through hot water and ringing out which is what I have been doing before these systems came alone. It is a good idea but if it does not deliver than it is pretty useless. Now the solution you use with this system does seem to clean the sponges better than I can get without using it but not wroth the extra time and expense. ... show more

    • A lot of Extra Work to Clean Sponges
STYLPRO SQUEEZE MAKEUP SPONGE CLEANER This actually does what it claims to do - it cleans your sponges and removes all makeup residue from your makeup blender sponges. I normally put my sponges in a lingerie mesh bag and toss them in the washing machine after using a bit of Dawn dishwashing detergent. Yes, some makeup stains remain on the sponge but since I use hot water, I know they are clean and disinfected and I really don't have to do much else. This kit requires a LOT of steps for the same outcome although it does remove stains. I just don't like the cleanser that is used with the system since my sponges feel like they have used makeup remover oil on them and I feel that I really need to clean them again in hot water to remove that residue. Steps: Dampen sponge and place in bowl. Soak your dirty makeup sponge in 20ml of Vegan Sponge Sparkle Cleanser. For best results, massage cleanser in using the press. Carefully fill the bowl to the fill line, with recently boiled water. Push the button on the press, pull the handle up and lock the press open. Using the open press, knead the makeup sponge a few times against the bowl base. For best results, wait 60 seconds. Scoop up the makeup sponge with the press, push the button and carefully squeeze it closed. Attach the pebble, and spin your sponge to its former glory! Depending on how long ago you cleaned your sponge, you may need to repeat this process. Oh, and then you have to clean out the device you just used. SO MANY EXTRA STEPS.
