I purchased this dryer sometime in May of 2019. It is now March in 2020 and I've been using this dryer every day for my SHORT, straight, fine pixie cut hair and it is still functioning perfectly! I have no worries about the lifespan of this product unlike a few other reviews that warned it stops working after a short time. So, the tech: 1) there are only two settings - high and low. Low is more powerful than most other dryers I've seen or tried, and it does get warm. I spend 5-10 minutes using the low setting on the daily and if the air is on my hand for too long while I style my hair, it starts to feel hot. But! The machine itself does NOT overheat! :D The high setting definitely blows stronger and gets way hotter. I only use this if I'm in a hurry. I have had no problems with this dryer shorting out or dying despite having it run on high. 2) the chord - it folds up easily and has a velcro wrap to secure it together. It is not too long or too short, especially for hotel/dorm situations, or like me, a small bathroom. 3) it folds - yes, the machine itself folds in half as advertised. I've brought it with me on several different occasions and folded it up completely and have had no problems with it breaking or shorting out after being folded and unfolded multiple times. 4) power switch - yes, you can use this in the USA or in Europe! I live in the US and it works perfectly. I brought it with me during a month-long study abroad in Germany in June 2019 and it worked there just the same, too! Travel tip: if you are travelling, just be sure to bring a plug adapter or power converter for all of your devices, not just this dryer. 5) size & shape - it packs nicely directly into a carry-on or in regular luggage. It is very lightweight and can fit in a regular-sized purse. I also like the bag it came with! Very good quality, and stylish. Hope this helps. Thanks!

This is a perfect on the go hair drier. Small but mighty! Comes with two small defusers that work like a charm! This is so cute, and it even folds up! It has choices of speeds & temps, this little guy is the real deal! I highly recommend it! Black, cute and mighty!

I bought this for home and travel. It works well, has enough power for my thin long hair and is light weight. I look forward to using it while traveling this summer. I just wish that it had a temperature control. It does have a high, low setting and I like the various attachments. It's a good value for a light weight, travel hair dryer with the ion feature that's supposed to be good for your hair.

I have purchased this dryer multiple times. I have given it as gifts. Until recently, I loved this dryer. I told everyone about it. I just plugged in my brand new Stylecraft Dryer. It made a high pitched screeching sound and it smelled like it was burning. I turned it off immediately. When I shake it, it sounds like a bunch of loose parts inside. This is the second one of this brand that this has happened to me with. It has happened to me with the last two I purchased. I could not return it to Amazon because it was past the return date. I contacted Stylecraft and they sent me the paperwork for a warranty claim. I had only had it a little over one month. They wanted $24.95 for shipping. I thought that was ridiculous. When it happened the first time I thought it was a fluke. But now that the exact problem happened to the last two, immediately upon first use, I will NOT be ordering from them again. Obviously, there is a problem with the current units they are selling.

I took this lil’ gem with me on a recent trip to the U.S. Virgin Islands not expecting too much, but I was happily surprised how well this lil’ beast worked on my long (past my bum), thick curls. Though petite, it packs a punch. Using a bit of organic kukui nut oil on my hair and the lil’ diffuser it came with left my hair shiny, bouncy, full of volume and frizz-free. I don’t blow dry my hair every day, and when I do, I’m looking to give my natural curls a bit more volume. I don’t blow dry my hair until it’s bone dry. I use the diffuser to give my curls added oomph and then let the rest of my hair air dry. It’s simple (on/off, no other settings) and may not dry hair as quickly as it’s bigger counterparts, but I’m tickled pink how well this baby blow dryer works.

I needed a travel hair dryer with a diffuser and this one is perfect. When I pulled it out of the box I didn't think something this small (dryer and diffuser) would work. But I did a complete hair drying job and it works like a champ. It's light enough that it's not wearing out my bad shoulder. The almost tiny diffuser actually works as well (or better) than my big dryer and diffuser. It's nice and small and the handle folds to make it even smaller. And added bonus is that there is an installed Velcro strap on the power cord - makes for even neater packing.

It's lightweight and easy to use. The dryer is unexpectedly powerful but not loud and has 2 heat settings - high speed and low speed. The cord is long and is adjustable with a velcrow strip. The handle folds up and fits easily into the pretty black velvet bag. Not expensive.
