Sweet and delicious, Stumptown Homestead Blend is a crowd pleaser. Homestead Blend is comprised of some of our best seasonal single origin coffees. It is the lightest of our blend line-up and is roasted to brew a fine cup, whatever your brew method. This blend consists solely of Direct Trade relationship coffees, fully washed coffees from Central and South America and East Africa. Some of the producers who contribute to this blend have worked with Stumptown for well over a decade. Over the years, our strong partnerships and clear communication with these partners has allowed our Direct Trade producers to improve coffee quality, attain rewards based on incentives, and sustain a transparent supply chain. Nearly 20 years ago, Stumptown Coffee Roasters began roasting exemplary coffee. First, I wish Stumptown would train other companies on how to package (specifically vacuum-seal) coffee beans! I think I’ve ordered a total of at least ten different brands from Amazon over the years and this is the first that’s been packaged well and sealed tightly to keep them fresh! I ordered the Homestead blend. It’s a good stout medium blend; maybe slightly bitter but that’s easy to counter if it’s an issue for you. The reviews I read had me a little concerned at firstly but I’m glad I took the chance on this brand, One review mentioned they can’t taste the flavor profile and while that’s true for the Homestead too, in my experience you don’t always have to in order for it to be good coffee. I play around with my own spice blends in coffee and don’t always taste the exact spice, but it still flavors it differently. I think that’s what this (at least the Homestead blend) is doing. Homestead is a milk chocolate and candy blend, which honestly I don’t think I’d like to taste in my coffee, but the coffee just tastes well-rounded and bold for a medium blend. I also wonder if the chocolate may be where that slight bitter taste I get comes from. Several reviews also mentioned the brew and best used-by dates. Mine was brewed in late June, purchased in August, and best used by October. I purchase whole bean coffee for its freshness and it loses freshness quickly, so to me that’s a good time frame. I usually will go through a bag this size is maybe 2-3 weeks so if I received it as some did within a couple weeks of best used-by date, it would be an issue but I would hope returns would be accepted based on late dates. I’ll definitely be taking a chance and ordering this product again! (And would update review if the use-by date were an issue because I’m a firm believer in holding companies accountable for intentional or unintentional issues in business practices.) Stumptown will be my go-to coffee bean on Amazon as long as they’ve fixed their use-by date issue! ... show more

Read an article that gave this coffee high marks so decided to try it. Overall I am not disappointed with the flavor, but definitely not my favorite. Flavor is too mild for my taste. I tried adding more, but never could get it up to my standards for a good cup of coffee. If you like a very mild flavor this might be for you, but definitely not for me. ... show more

this is one of the best "blend" coffee i've had. it reminds me of Kona Coffee, mild and smooth, and inexpensive. the price is cheaper here than at the grocery store by $4 or $6. whole bean is much fresher than ground. they also have the organic ones and they're good as well.

Very small pale beans but ground made a great cuppa. I have tried several beans to grind. My husband liked this best. The value for money was a little too expensive so we likeky wont repurchase but we sure liked it. Id like to try it in kcups but like I said the expense was more than the others we tried. It's okay, but unfortunately like various brands Henry's house ruined everything else for me. It's made a decent solid cup of coffee and I guess I needed it today as I started feeling tired behind the eyes and unmotivated. I have been using a treadmill and probably over did it the day before. Anyway it's was just right today and didn't make me slightly jittery. I guess Henry's dark roast coffee just has more flavor and is super smooth. Update I don't know why, but this coffee has really grown on me. I have tried the lighter roast as well as the strong on and they seem really similar. It's got a funky build up that's sort of off putting, but as you expect it to get bitter it finishes smooth instead. When you're really foggy and you need a robust coffee this is it. There's something satisfying about it. Henry's is good, but it's almost too good as in boringly perfect. The funky build up in this coffee gives it character. I think it's really strong caffeine wise of course I drank a gallon of it when driving memorial day weekend, but I was hyper for like 12 hours. ... show more

Okay when you don't live ANYWHERE near your roaster (so you can't purchase your particular beans locally) and NEED to get your favorite beans fast (vs ordering directly through their website) this is a great option. Yes- coffee snob me knows that coffee should be ground fresh and consumed 4-28 days after being roasted so technically this is old coffee that I received but coffee snob me also appreciates Stumptown and wanted a friend to try it and ordering here was the best option. And you know what? It tastes great- it may not have as many benefits as if it was more fresh BUT my friend knows now knows the same joy that I get from this roaster. And you know what else? It can be consumed before the Stumptown's recommended consumption date (which in the case of my beans was a month & a half before the labelled expiration date) so is it really fair that most of these reviews call them "old beans"? It is always better to order online from the roaster but if I need beans like this last minute I will be ordering them again here. ❤️☕ ... show more

This coffee rocks; as does everything from stumptown. It tastes and smells great. I think Holler mountain is their best, but this is still very worth your money. Make sure you're paying attention to ground vs whole bean!
