They smell honestly amazing. They are truly the best smelling coffee beans I’ve ever smelt. This isn’t an exaggeration, I’m serious. Trying to learn how to use a pour over, so they have come out pretty bitter for me. Though that’s probably my fault.

Really like the Holler Mountain . But we drink so much coffee with 4 people that it becomes extremely expensive. I switched to Amazon Light Roast and found it to be excellent and at 1/3 the price. The Holler Mountain is excellent and tastes a little more robust, but I prefer the Amazon brand.

Stumptown is the king of fresh coffee IMO. I have yet to find a brand that tastes better than this one. I have tried them all and I always come back to any stumptown flavor.

I was a little concerned because some people said they didn’t work at all but for us they’ve been great. The kids and I have been having so much fun with these. I love carbonation so I had been enjoying soda. But I don’t love how unhealthy it is. Didn’t really want to make kombucha because I’m the only one who likes it. Water kefir on the other hand we all enjoy. The grains worked perfectly the first time we used. Followed the instructions it came with and used Pinterest for some flavor inspiration. After ordering this, I came across some reviews (not on Amazon) warning that this is extremely acidic and citric coffee. I did additional research and, despite the delivery being over 24 hours away, I was unable to cancel the order. Upon arrival, I decided to make a pot of cold brew just to see if my opinion matched that other a few others. I have regretted that decision. It is the only pot of cold brew that I poured down the drain at first taste. My first warning came upon opening the bag. There was absolutely no coffee fragrance. A slight odor, but certainly nothing that I had encountered before. I decided that I would give it a try. I ground it o the same setting I use for all my beans when making cold brew -- but these beans were different. Instead of coming out with coarsely ground beans, the beans seemed to fall into dust. I adjusted the grind to make it courser, but that barely helped. I brewed the grind from early evening to mid-morning as I do with all my beans. Upon pouring the first cup, I realized all my fears. Barely a coffee taste, citrusy to the extreme, and, in the end, undrinkable. I cannot speak to other brewing methods. Perhaps this coffee redeems itself. However, for me, I will continue my pursuit of the perfect cold brew elsewhere. ... show more

Stumptown makes some of my favorite coffee. This is a fansastic lighter roast and you can really taste and smell the hint of caramel. I read through some of the reviews and was a little shocked with some of the reviews that complain about the roast. In reality this IS a medium roast and it tastes like a medium roast is supposed to taste; but like all medium roasts you get that hint of acidity as well. You also can overcook this coffee if you let it sit on a warmer for too long or have a coffee maker that brews at too high a temp. For those kinds of coffee makers a darker roast will be more tolerant. Tastes wonderful out of our aeropress or Moccamaster! ... show more
