I have a collection of watches of all types and I gravitate back to the analog watches with dials and hands. For me it's very visual and at a glance I know what time it is and seeing the face helps me to visualize how much time I have left in the day and how much time I have left in the hour. This Stuhrling Velocity watch is extremely effective for me in keeping track of time. The blue face contrasting with the white glow hands makes it one of the easiest to read watches I own. The second hand also is easy to see in almost all light conditions. The other great thing is that the date indicator is one of the largest ones I have. Much easier to read than some other higher end watches. The chronograph functions are easy to use and the buttons have a good positive springy feeling to them. Resetting is also simple as it functions like old time dedicated stop watches. I love the sophisticated look but the simplicity of operation on this watch. Not only that it looks beautiful and I love looking at it. The combination of the brushed stainless steel and the shiny bezel, crown and chronograph buttons makes it a great looking watch. The band is unique in that the metal band is coated in a blue rubber material. This gives the watch a sporty look with great sound deadening functionality. I find that my metal bands and clasps tap onto tables and other surfaces when I rest my hands on them and the rubberized coating silences almost all of the metallic sound that results from the band. Resizing the band has also helped prevent the loose band slap that is common with metal bands. The watch performs well and keeps time pretty well. I have not noticed any change in time compared to my cell phone time but I have only had the watch for a couple of weeks. I will report back if my take on this watch changes. But it has proven to be a great watch with all the functions I commonly use my watch for and again, it's just beautifully designed. ... show more

This watch matches my tastes well. I don't care that much for luxury high end watches, but I like their traditional watch face designs. Similarly, I don't care that much for sports or tech watches, but I usually like their band designs. This watch has a neat silicone wrapped metal link band design like looks somewhat like a sports watch band, but meshes well with the more traditional watch face. I went with the navy blue color because I think it looks more contemporary than the black. There is a navy blue gradient color on the watch face that both matches well with the band and is a striking offset from the stainless steel case. Overall it's a handsome watch. It's also a fairly large watch. The bottom of the watch case, from link connection point to link connection point, is 5cm across. If your wrist is small or medium-small the watch will probably look oversized. My wrist is medium-large and the watch looks nice and chunky without being too big. The silicone facing on the band is comfortable on the skin. This is my first Stuhrling watch although I had heard of them before. My impression is that the quality is good and it's solidly made, although with the caveat that watch quality isn't always obvious for a non-enthusiast. First of all I will mention this is my second Stuhrling watch. That should speak volumes that I would order another. This is a dark blue chronographic watch that is absolutely beautiful. It comes packaged in a nice box affixed to a pillow. Be careful taking off the wrapping. If you pull these red tabs off it makes unwrapping easier. Unwrap the same direction as the arrow instead of lengthwise along the band and it helps. I will say the size of the band is on the small side from what I have purchased in the past. This doesn't bother me because it fits almost perfect but I don't have huge wrists either. This is not meant for a beefy wrist. The band itself is a metal band but is covered with a light rubbery blue texture that is extremely comfortable and looks nice. The clasp is not a traditional clasp and instead relies on a double push button squeeze release. Pretty stylish actually and very easy to use. The watch itself has good heft without being heavy and looks amazing on my wrist. Functionally I think it's perfect with the different options. The media could not be loaded. This Stuhrling Velocity 4076 chronograph is a well-made high quality time piece with a luxurious appearance and feel. I got the 4076.2 model (the blue color). It has a good weight (137 grams/4.83 ounces on a digital scale), is very comfortable on the wrist thanks to the silicon wrapped link strap (which I initially thought was polyurethane when making my video here), and the chronograph is very easy to use (just press the button above the crown to start and stop the chronograph, and press the button below the crown to reset the chronograph). The bezel is polished stainless steel. The date display is near the 4th and 5th hour locators and sits on a 45° angle, which is somewhat uncommon among higher end watches. The watch face is well designed and (on my model) looks like a royal metallic blue. The watch comes with a 2-year warranty (registration required). Band links can be removed to adjust the band length to the size of your wrist, but there is no tool included to help do so. Fortunately, one can use thumb tacks, paperclips, needles, and other similarly sized objects to remove the pins in the band links so that band links can be removed to get the band to the right size, and there are many videos online showing how to do this. The current price (about $120 dollars at the time of this review) is a good price for its quality, and it is a good value for the money at such price. Rating: 5 stars. ... show more
