I have a collection of watches of all types and I gravitate back to the analog watches with dials and hands. For me it's very visual and at a glance I know what time it is and seeing the face helps me to visualize how much time I have left in the day and how much time I have left in the hour. This Stuhrling Velocity watch is extremely effective for me in keeping track of time. The blue face contrasting with the white glow hands makes it one of the easiest to read watches I own. The second hand also is easy to see in almost all light conditions. The other great thing is that the date indicator is one of the largest ones I have. Much easier to read than some other higher end watches. The chronograph functions are easy to use and the buttons have a good positive springy feeling to them. Resetting is also simple as it functions like old time dedicated stop watches. I love the sophisticated look but the simplicity of operation on this watch. Not only that it looks beautiful and I love looking at it. The combination of the brushed stainless steel and the shiny bezel, crown and chronograph buttons makes it a great looking watch. The band is unique in that the metal band is coated in a blue rubber material. This gives the watch a sporty look with great sound deadening functionality. I find that my metal bands and clasps tap onto tables and other surfaces when I rest my hands on them and the rubberized coating silences almost all of the metallic sound that results from the band. Resizing the band has also helped prevent the loose band slap that is common with metal bands. The watch performs well and keeps time pretty well. I have not noticed any change in time compared to my cell phone time but I have only had the watch for a couple of weeks. I will report back if my take on this watch changes. But it has proven to be a great watch with all the functions I commonly use my watch for and again, it's just beautifully designed. ... show more

I have been buying my husband watches for years, and I am always looking for something unique and different. He also likes the color blue, so this particular watch was a perfect fit! While the watch face itself might look a little large on thinner arms or smaller hands, overall, this piece is well-balanced and striking. The metallic inner clock face is stunning to look at, and it definitely makes this piece look expensive. The only thing I don't like about it is the silicone-coated strap, which I understand is aesthetically more pleasing and physically more durable, but I never liked silicone things. It gives it a slightly cheaper look. Perhaps a coated blue metal, but then the coating could wear off, so I think this was the best option they could find to match the blue. It comes in a wonderful presentation box with a cushion, cleaning cloth, warranty card, and is protected with plastic. ... show more

This watch is pretty interesting. The first thing that caught my eye was the bracelet/strap. It has fitted silicone end links, and the links themselves are stainless steel with silicone wrapped around the outside. The watch is on the larger size, but the size works just fine for a chronograph. This watch has a chronograph movement where the main seconds hand is the regular time keeping hand, and the chronograph hand is one of the sub dials. I have been recently getting into watches lately and when I saw this, I knew I had to have it. The watch is so beautiful and I love the blue tone. The strap is nicely made, and doesn’t hurt on my wrist. It does have some way to it for being $100 watch, I am was pleasantly surprised. I haven’t tested the water resistance yet since it is winter, but it claims to be water resistance up to 20 m, but I will probably never try that. I have used this while washing my hands and it works just as prescribed. No water has gotten into the watch. It seems to be holding a good time, although I’m not a expert on what to look for and also clocking it every single day. I've never been disappointed by a Stuhrling timepiece and this blue beauty is no exception. A simple chronograph face set in a polished stainless steel case is mated to a sport bracelet that bridges the business-casual divide, making this a watch appropriate for almost any setting. The face design is understated, polished numbers and dial hands stand out against the deep blue background with drawing too much attention. The chronograph dials are small but readable if this is a feature you regularly use. The bracelet is unique, silicone over metal. Unlike the 'sport' straps with their stretch and binding qualities, this fits like a metal bracelet with a softer feel. It matches a comfortable feel with a rich look. I have nothing but good things to say about this Stuhrling Velocity 4076 watch! It came nicely packaged in a presentation box with complete operating instructions, warranty registration information and a cleaning cloth. When it arrived I took it out of the box, followed the instructions to set everything up and put it on. I couldn't believe how great it looked and that it fit my wrist perfectly. Well, it's been almost three weeks now and I've worn it every day. I'm not easy on watches, and this one has been no exception. Its been wet, gone fishing (twice), has worked on cars, and done some heavy yard work. Through it all It's kept perfect time and still looks new! It has a 'sports watch' face, but is not over done like some and looks good with anything I'm wearing. The band has rubber encased metal links that make it very comfortable, quiet, and is very good looking! It uses a SR 920SW battery that should last about two years. If you have trouble finding that battery, a common equivalent is a 371. Overall, I'm very happy with this watch and think it's a great value! I recommend it. ... show more
