I wanted to get a GMT watch, but with Quartz movement so I wouldn't need to worry about resetting the date every week or so when I wear the watch. This piece was on sale for $63, and it has performed excellently. It was a great bargain, and it looks very nice.

It's a very well put together watch, a lot of value for the money. Still trying to determine how to effectively use the GMT hand, it doesn't seem to track the way I would expect (if it should be for set for LA time, shouldn't it keep up with my East Coast time and be 3 hours apart?).

I have a real Rolex DateJust that I received as a gift in 1985 (it's not the GMT version), and I swore I would never buy a Rolex look-alike. I've always liked the Rolex GMT Pepsi, but I could never afford the $18K for it nowadays. So I decided to give this a try for $89. So far I really love this watch. It has a nice authentic heavy weight feel to it, and just like my real Rolex, the "jubilee" bracelet doesn't snag the hairs on my arm. I really appreciate the "submarine hatch" screw-down crown, which like the Rolex, enhances some pretty reliable water resistance. I like the fact that this is a quartz movement rather than a mechanical, self-winding automatic, and so far, the quartz accuracy seems to be pretty much on par with my Citizen Satellite (I'm still testing this part, but so far it's looking pretty darn good). A few of the reviews may have indicated a problem with water leaks, but I suspect they didn't tighten down the screw-down crown very well. Nice job Stuhrling. ... show more

You want a Magnum P.I. style pepsi gmt. You don't want to spend thousands of dollars. You don't want to pay $500 for a good copy that probably isn't waterproof and has no warranty.:Buy this. I know its quartz, I know it doesn't say Rolex, but nobody will see that from more than 3 feet away and this thing has the sheen- it is very very pretty. It totally pops. I put it on a seiko-style bracelet and this watch shouldn't have been $89. It would be a good deal at the full price of $495. Even watch snobs like this watch. Trust me, the girl across the bar won't be able to tell the difference, and by the time she does, you will be solving crimes with TC and Rick at the King Kamehameha club- if only Higgins will let you use the Ferrari...I just bought one for my brother, who already has a beautiful Tudor I bought him, and other top-end watches.
