3/8/22 Balayage Brown & Blonde + 18P613 Highlight Blonde Full Shine Genius Weft Extensions Review I’ve been using Full Shine weft extensions for six months now, and I absolutely love them! Although I’m not a licensed cosmetologist, I’ve learned to install sew-in wefts on myself—and Full Shine made that possible. The quality is impressive for the price, especially for someone new to extensions. While I can’t compare them to top-tier salon-grade hair, I’d still give Full Shine a solid 5 stars. My natural hair is around 14 inches long, and I use the 22-inch extensions for added length and volume. I blend two shades: 3/8/22 Balayage Brown & Blonde with 18P613 Highlight Blonde, both in the genius weft style. I sandwich the balayage tone between the highlight blonde for the perfect dimensional blend. My natural roots are close to a 3N dark brown, so I color the balayage shade using Wella 3N demi-permanent color, which it takes beautifully—better than the lighter blonde shade, in my experience. I’ve also tried the hand-tied weft before and while it added great fullness, the return hair irritated my scalp. The genius weft, on the other hand, is lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for warmer months. Overall, I’m obsessed with Full Shine’s weft extensions. They’re ideal for beginners like me who want quality hair without the salon price tag. With proper care, they hold up well, style beautifully, and deliver incredible value. I have ordered these wefts 3 times. First time I was VERY happy with the product, absolutely nothing wrong and turned out great. 2nd time the brown parts in the wefts had a pinkish hue to it but they had already been installed by the time my stylist noticed so we had worked with what it was. I had reached out to the company on the issue and they offered me 16% of my money back (which wasn’t much but I accepted and didn’t complain) I recently ordered a new set because now that I know there is pink I can’t unsee it so I decided to start off fresh. The new extensions came in and also had pink hues, thank goodness I made sure to check before my hair appointment. I reached out to the company ask for a replacement and that is return these to them. They had emailed back stating that it seems like all there hair products will have these issues so that there is nothing that can be done replacement wise and that instead I should just reach out to Amazon to start the return process which would then stillllll leave me without hair extensions and I’d just be left with the current ones, that after all efforts I could still not have the pink lifted from. I’ve had more money and time spent in trying to fix this issue. I’m very disappointed in this brand especially when the first set I hard ordered was soooo good and I had even spoken so highly of them and referred so many of my friends to them.

UPDATE! Customer service has been absolutely amazing! They truly care about customer satisfaction and go above and beyond to address any issues! I was contacted directly by the company after my initial review and they were very kind, understanding and gracious in making efforts to ensure I was a satisfied customer. It speaks volumes about a company who values its customers to this level! Full shine is 100% deserving of 5 STARS! ✨✨✨✨✨ I will be reordering in the future and giving the products another try! At first, they were wonderful! I ordered an 18” weft and had it installed. They were super soft and beautiful after installation. I’ve had them in almost two weeks and only washed once. I use professional salon grade products when washing. After the wash, the hair went from amazing to poor. I was so disappointed because they were so perfect upon installation. It lost all shine and became extremely frizzy. I am having to use a heat protectant everyday and curling the hair to try and make it look decent or wear it up. The shedding has been absolutely terrible. The weft has thinned and become stringy from all the lost hair. I’m going to have to have them removed after only a couple weeks of wear. I’m afraid to wash them a second time and the issues worsen even more. I have worn extensions for years, and this is the first time I’ve experienced any of these issues. To be fair, it’s also the first time I’ve tried this brand. I wanted to love them because of how pretty and soft they were upon receiving, but my experience after the first and only wash hasn’t been positive.

Love these, this company is my favorite- so helpful and the best value for your money. I ordered 2 packs and they matched my color perfectly. I will say if you have thick/a lot of hair like me they’ll be harder to blend with just 2, but I like choppy layers in my hair so it works. makes sure you buy a good hair oil and use it 2-3 times a day on your mids and ends or they’ll start to fray, it doubles the longevity you’ll get out of them. Curl retention is great, and they’re thick enough that you don’t see any tracks even with straight hair, unlike when I wore tapes. Lastly I haven’t noticed any hair loss when taking them out at all. I do have super thick hair without them, so maybe if you have thinner/finer hair it’s more noticeable, but personally, I haven’t noticed any at all, any of the times I’ve had them moved up.

Color a bit ashier tone than pictured but very pretty. Quality was good at first, but after a few washes it gets super dry and frizzy. I used oil to keep it from being too bad, but definitely not wefts I will be able to use more than one install. Price was good with coupon, but not the quality I’m used to with Full Shine. Good weight and amount of hair. Does well with curling and straightening, but use heat protectant to minimize drying it out.
