  • Have something sturdy behind it
Color: Green(2 Door)
Easy to assemble, instructions are clear if you've assembled anything before using numbers and letters to indicate parts this thing is simple.. There are extra connectors if you break one. Now it's up to you to provide a firm foundation and something (like a shed wall) to attach to. It will not stand up to a string wind unless it is firmly tied to the structure behind it. The flimsy cords and ground spikes are useful for other tasks, but definitely not going to keep this tent from becoming a spy balloon. I used 1/2" pipe clamps on the bottom and the back to hold the frame to the wood base (railroad ties) and the back (a shed). Nothing is perfect and if hurricane force winds show up, this greenhouse is going airborne. But if you take the precautions to keep it solidly in place, it wil perform its function well. ... show more

  • Durability
Color: Green
I bought the greenhouse in January it is now the end of May overall it has served its purpose for the cost. I had it for a month and both zippers needed to be replaced I reversed them.. now since I live in a warm climate the cover is melting and leaving holes in the polyethylene so now when it rains it pours in the greenhouse ... show more

  • Destroyed by wind
Color: White
Okay, so let's be clear, this item is an inexpensive solution for a greenhouse. In terms of the ease of assembly and item description, everything is fine. I got what I paid for. The plastic attachment pieces don't completely fit with the metal rods that insert into them, so I did accidentally break one of them during the initial assembly. Thankfully it was just one of the pieces that connected the shelf to the frame, so it wasn't really a structurally important part. I should have known better than to suspect that this greenhouse would meet my needs here in Vermont. In preparation for winter, I have a number of potted plants, such as lavender and rosemary, that don't deal with frost and freezing temperatures well, and I was looking for a solution to keep the plants sheltered through the winter season, though I knew it would not be incredibly insulating, and I had my doubts about it holding up under a foot of snow, which I'd intended to painstakingly remove every time it snowed. I'm not sure we will even make it that far into the season to find out. I decided to wait a few weeks to write a review, because I was initially pretty happy with the size and how conveniently it fit on my back deck, but I was skeptical of its durability. It was perfect for the space I had. But my suspicions have been confirmed. We had our first nor'easter of the season a few weeks ago, and it almost destroyed the tent. Since the tent was assembled on my deck, I couldn't steak it to the ground, but instead reinforced the base with 1x2 strapping, which I screwed directly into the deck, through the plastic covering which was tucked and folded underneath the frame. Then I attached the tallest side of the greenhouse to the exterior wall of my house with metal eye hooks and twine. I mean this thing wasn't going anywhere. But the winds are slowly having their way with the lining & metal frame. we just had another storm this evening, and it is even worse now. And during the storm a few weeks ago, the strapping that my reinforcements were tied to ripped free from the plastic covering, so now there is no way for me to keep the tent attached to the house. Eventually, it's just going to turn into a giant kite and blow away. I guess I might as well just wait in amusement and chalk this up to experience. ... show more

  • Do not put next to brick.
Color: White(2 Door)
If you live in a windy area don't place this next to a brick wall, I had to move it within a few days of setup. The brick is like sand paper on the plastic. Moved against my fence and it's working out well. Had a small tear in my cover from the brick, on the corner where the rod is. So,.... I ordered greenhouse tape to repair it, who knew they made this stuff. I don't see this cover lasting more than a season or two, but you can buy a greenhouse tarp for 60 bucks and reuse the frame. This is my first greenhouse, a tester, and for the price I am satisfied. If I find out I have a green thumb I plan to upgrade in a couple of years, or build my own. Just a note 30 to 50 mph gust are a norm where I live, it's actually impressive how well it holds up next to the 6 foot fence. ... show more

  • It's a keeper
Color: Green
So far I'm pleased with the easy set up (my partner kindly set it up in under an hour) and pleased with how much I can fit in there. I love the shelving, I can store a lot of my garden stuff on them. I had another 3 tier garden shelf made of iron I'm using to hold down the plastic on the inside of the greenhouse near the wooden fence. I will also put bricks on the inside (where I folded the plastic bottom in instead of leaving it exposed to the outside). The plastic which was left to secure the outside on one side is held (as you can plainly see) with 6 large hollow bricks which I intend to fill with dirt and plant in. I also plan to tie down the tallest end of the greenhouse to the wooden fence it sits next to in case winds really pick up this fall and winter. The plastic itself is not that great and I have low expectations for it It also has absolutely no ventilation, which may not matter since it's pretty large. Hopefully it can last through this year with minimal damage or holes though, if so I'll be surprised. I already plan to order some greenhouse repair tape in case I run into an unforseen problem. I keep thinking either my/a cat will jump on the top and tear it to shreds or worse.... A racoon. I have a small pond I made the 'coons like to play in, so they come from over the fence I noticed from their doo doo and breakage of plants and knocking planters down. They are the biggest threat to my beloved greenhouse! But so far so good. I think for just over a C note, can't be complaining too much. If I can grow the veggies I plan to grow in the cold months, along with storing tools and such from rain and snow.. it will pay for itself. ... show more

  • A good gust
Color: White
The green house was fun to put together, like building an adult fort. The greenhouse is roomy, fairly light weight and simple looking. I happily filled it with mint, tomatoes, rosemary, honeysuckle and peppers as soon as it was up. It however did not hold up to mother nature, when she let loose the wind at 35mph+ I would buy this again if I had a safe place away from the wind to secure it. ... show more
