  • Looks good, but more for display than actual use
I wanted to like this more. It looks good and does support a low A baritone saxophone, but it seems too shaky to trust in gig situations. Mind you, it's not terrible, but if a bari got bumped on a band stand while on sitting in this sax stand, I think it likely it would tip over. If you plan to use this stand excessively at home in a no-traffic area, then it should fit the bill and look good while doing it. If it's expected to travel to a gig, then I'd pass. A couple tips: 1. Use Semi Permenant Locktight on the screws so they don't loosen and make it rickety. 2. If your lower brace was missing a wing nut screw like mine was, a 6mm 1.00 pitch wing nut with matching washers is what to pick up at the hardware store. ... show more

  • PRODUCT IS NOT COMPLETE. This potentially good product is ruined by incompetent packaging.
PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE ORDERING THIS PRODUCT. I have the other, shorter model of Strich saxophone stand, Model No. SSS-10, and it's quickly become my favorite stand for home use. It has proven to be a stable, secure mount for my alto, tenor, and C Melody saxophones. I like the look of the beechwood, it's sturdily made, the design is simple and easy to assemble, and it works great. It holds my horns securely -- even the larger tenor sax. This product is a new, much taller version of the stand designed for larger saxophones: tenor and baritone. Assembling the stand is very simple: attach three legs to the stand base using the three screws and Allen wrench that are provided. When that's done, you screw the larger of the two "holding forks" into the main support near the top of the stand using the supplied plastic "shim." Then, attach the smaller, lower holding fork into the adjustable slot -- except there's no way to attach it. Either I'm missing a part that locks the lower fork into place so it can slide up and down and adjust, or the fork that was packed with my product is the wrong fork. To be clear: THERE IS NO WAY TO ASSEMBLE THIS PRODUCT WITH THE MATERIALS PROVIDED. I returned the product and ordered a replacement. A couple of days passed. While I received the replacement promptly, it is identical to the first. STILL NO WAY TO COMPLETELY ASSEMBLE THIS PRODUCT. The photographs of the product on the Amazon product page shows some kind of fastener on the threaded end of the lower fork. No such fastener was provided in either of the two product shipments I received. Some kind of fastener is necessary in order for this product to work. The company does not provide this. They don't even describe it so I can buy my own fastener (the photographs aren't clear enough to show exactly what it is). IN SHORT: DO NOT BUY THIS INCOMPLETE PRODUCT. At least not unless the manufacturer updates this page to state that the product has been fixed. I'm returning the second shipment. I will not reorder. What a waste of an otherwise good product. ... show more

  • Simple and stable
This baritone saxophone stand is a simple yet elegant solution for safely storing and displaying your instrument. Crafted from wood, it has a classic aesthetic that complements the saxophone beautifully. The stand features adjustable height, allowing you to customize it to your preference and ensure a comfortable playing position when needed. The three-legged design provides excellent stability, preventing accidental tipping and keeping your valuable saxophone secure. Assembly was a breeze, taking only a few minutes to put together. Overall, this stand is a great combination of functionality, aesthetics, and ease of use. If you're looking for a reliable and attractive stand for your baritone saxophone, I highly recommend this one. ... show more

  • Works great but missing a part
It's very sturdy and holds my bari really well; however, it was missing one part to hold the bottom arm of the stand, and I had to find my own washer and screw to hold it in place. Otherwise, it wouldn't work. The material is super sturdy and the bari feels very secure once the bottom arm is in place. ... show more
