  • Small but mighty
Color: Orange
Great amp for kids first electric guitar. Travels well, durable (it’s been dropped and still works), and charges fast. It doesn’t work while charging though, only downside. But the charge lasts a long time. Has a great clear sound with distortions available.

  • Cute, Adorbable & Functional
Color: Orange
This thing is adorable, small and it absolutely works as described. I imagine it is intended to function as more of a novelty than a professional grade piece of equipment, and so it should be considered in that space.

  • Love this one
Color: Black
Tiny tot now a daily buddy for practice. As a full-time caregiver it's impossible to carry an amp, but now it's easy. Sounds good. Keeps a good charge. Very recommended

  • Decent amp with realistic expectations
Color: Black
I ordered this amp as a means for my grandson to play while he is at our house visiting without annoying the neighbors. It should be noted that is far and away from being a 5 star amp, however, when kept in context of what this is and what to expect from such tiny amps and speakers, it actually becomes surprisingly decent. First thing I noticed when taking out of the box is just the weight. It actually has some mass to it.... like it might stand a chance of staying in place while playing and moving a bit... or unlike another small amp I own, actually staying upright when a really heavy straight plug cable get plugged into it. And like the other small amp I own, this one is just as small. That diminutive size does comee with some trade-offs, though, which I'll cover in a bit. So this does have some cool features... first of which is battery power. I'm not sure how long it took to charge, but I checked on it about 3 hours after plugging it in and it was charged. I also don't know how long the battery lasts, but I was at two hours before I was done playing and plugged it back in. It can also be paired to a phone or other device to allow you to play along to your favorite tunes or just listen to them as a bluetooth speaker... albeit not with the greatest sound quality for such endeavors. This little amp does have the usual controls one would expect and they all work fine... but here is where your expectations must be tempered with price and realism. At the time of this review, this is a $36 amplifier that is providing two little drivers in a very small package... and packing quite a few features into something relatively small and at a low price. So, if you're thinking you'll be matching the sound quality, tone, fullness, and volume of a full stack, I'd suggest passing this by and maybe embark on some self reflection. The grand scheme of amps... the sound is relatively bad. The volume isn't awe inspiring. The clean tone is decent, the overdrive/distortion is lackluster. But in this world of tiny amps, it's about on par with others I've played, especially in this price bracket. And with it's cordless and wireless features, it's even rising above several other options. Realistically, this amp isn't going to be your gigging rig. This is just a little amp to set on a table next to you while you chill on the couch and play relaxed... or to turn a grandson loose in a spare bedroom and let him do his worst. ... show more

  • Warm and full clean tone for quiet practicing
Color: Orange
Out of the box I had high hopes. For starters it’s the heaviest micro-amp I’ve held, and I have a collection of them starting with my still-working Marshall MS-2 made in Korea that I spotted in a music store window on 48th street back in the 80’s. According to the minimal instructions this Strich amp appears optimized for single-coil pickups. Humbucker users are cautioned to dial back the guitar volume and/or set the amp gain accordingly to avoid the kind of nasty clipping overload you don’t want - as opposed to the smooth edge-of-breakup overdrive a lot of us do want. The amp took about 2-3 hours to fully charge via standard phone charger. It’s not documented but the charging LED is solid orange while charging, solid green when fully charged. I tried the amp with a single coil Strat as well as an Epiphone Dot with humbuckers and had a similar result. It’s a simple Volume, Tone, Gain circuit with push button clean/distortion “channels”. The clean tone with volume up and gain kept low produces the most usable traditional dark, clean jazz tone for me: surprisingly full and warm for a small amp. The tone control range is limited, you’ll rely more on pickup guitar tone knobs. Cranking the gain on the clean channel doesn’t satisfy. I’m not an engineer but the signal sounds too compressed or squashed to open up in a musical way. That’s not a problem for me as I’m happy with a usable clean tone to practice at night without headphones. The distortion channel requires rolling back a lot of instrument gain to avoid nasty clipping. I still struggled to find a saturated tone I would call usable. Granted, these days I play mostly jazz and blues with tones that skew towards clean, but I can still appreciate a warm, controlled distortion. Unfortunately this isn’t the amp for that, in my opinion. I can’t close without mentioning the bizarre brief recorded chord riff that plays each time you turn the volume knob/power switch on. I get the joke – the first time you hear it messed with my head. After the twentieth or so time – not so much. ... show more

  • Good for home tinkering
Color: Black
So - you're not going to put on a concert with this, but that's not what it's for. It's a functional little home amp to use just for what it says - practice. You can charge it up or use the power cord directly. I haven't run it dead yet so not sure how long the battery lasts - yet. Since I've only used it at home that hasn't been an issue, but the mobile aspect of it will come later I'm sure as it will fit great in a backpack or even guitar case actually. The sound quality is OK, not great, but definitely OK. For its size (I placed a candy bar in one image for sizing) I can't complain. The bluetooth function isn't very good (I connected it to my phone to play music) and everything was pretty flat. But again, it's for a guitar for which it does a decent job doing exactly what it's intended for. ... show more
