I am a serial hobbyist who tends to go down the Reddit rabbit hole to find the best possible setup for whatever my new hobby is. Piano isn’t exactly the cheapest hobby to start, so I didn’t want to invest in both the private lessons and the best piano in case this hobby ended the way my wood whittling, sewing, and Peloton-ing ended. As a beginner, this feels quite similar to the piano that my composer-instructor uses and was the best value to get started; weighted keys, headphones included, and pedals for when I progress to the point of knowing what they even do/mean. It responds well when I’m switching between playing softly vs. banging on the keys (the instructor told me the words for these but I can’t remember right now). The design is slim, and looked very small/short to me when we were putting together, but it looks great in the room and once I sit down it doesn’t feel like I’m sitting at a toy or anything. I feel like I’m sitting at a legit piano. I’m using an IKEA bench right now, which is it’s not size appropriate but sufficient for the hour a day I’m putting in. Sound is great and I love the volume control. My kids immediately want to play if they hear me practicing so it helps to turn it way down which buys me time until they notice I’m gone. I don’t notice any weird sounds at either end of the keyboard as some reviewers have mentioned. Assembly took 15 min with two people and while the instructions aren’t 100% clear, it’s pretty obvious what you need to do with each step and I can be a bit of a doofus about following instructions. Overall solid choice for beginners with minimal investment needed to get started. I can’t envision getting to the point in my piano journey where I’d need anything different, unless it was purely an aesthetic choice to get something more substantial. Easy to install. I will say it’s a bit lower than I expected. Keys work well. I appreciate the transpose option. Power button is on the back- minor inconvenience. Besides that, pretty good purchase. It does move a bit when I play it.

We rode this keyboard after already having a fallout with another one so I was a little hesitant. Very happy with my purchase though, this keyboard is sturdy and weighted. The keys feel great and I love the wood color. It’s a great keyboard for beginners and my daughter is very happy with it.

I had this for about a month. I liked how the pedals are attached and the headphones are excellent. However, the keys and not super responsive, like if you are trying to play softly. Also the different tone option feature is crazy, there are over 200 and you have to go through them - in chronological order - to get to the one you want. Finally, the sound was just okay. Not very bright. I really like a different one that I purchased much better-UISCOM 88. It has a cover for the keys, which protects them from dust and looks nice. Keys are very responsive, tones are easy to choose., and the sound quality is bright and beautiful!. ... show more

Im a drummer but purchased this piano to start learning. I’m not well versed on gear but have definitely messed around on some of the higher end electric pianos in music stores. I actually think this piano holds up alright with pianos in that 500$ area, especially for someone like me who is learning. I would agree with other reviews that the tone is not excellent but it’s not awful either. I think what this also misses is a large range of accents. If you play hard vs soft, there doesn’t seem to be a huge range of volume difference. The hammer keys have an excellent feel and similar to a real piano. I wish the cables and power switches weren’t in the back as I can’t put the piano flush against the wall. All in all, I’m really happy I made the purchase and hopeful that it holds up (I’ve owned for a few weeks now and seems durable). As a heads up, this would be very difficult to repackage and return so I’d make sure you want it before buying. If you’re looking for a piano to learn with weighted keys and don’t want to spend 500+ I think this is a good option ... show more
