I am a fitness enthusiast, having exercised daily for decades. I attribute looking and feeling younger than my actual age to exercise, which includes a combination of cardio, strength and flexibility training. Over the years, my joints have unfortunately aged faster than the rest of me, so I've had to start taking a kinder and gentler approach to exercise in order to reduce my risks of injury and surgery and to prolong my ability to continue exercising during my "golden years." That said, I was recently introduced to the benefits of using resistance bands as a substitute or supplements for barbells and dumbbells by my physical therapist who was treating my lower back injury. Not only do resistance bands take up less space than weights in my home exercise area, but they are perfect to take along with me when I travel. More importantly, when using them, I feel like I'm still able to get a challenging workout but without irritating my joints as much as can sometimes happen with handheld weights. This brand of resistance bands seems like a standout from many of the others I'vw looked at on Amazon, including the brand that my PT recommended and gave me as a parting gift (see green band in photo). These bands are longer, wider and thicker than the typical resistance bands, plus they have a nicer feel or texture than the regular latex bands. I agree with the other reviewers who have noted that the 4 shades of pink are too close in hue to easily tell them apart, particularly the medium and heavy bands, which are unfortunately the two I will be using most often. The white printing on each band which provides an alternate way of identifying each band's strength is hard to see on the 2 lighter colored bands. Plus it is only printed on one side of one end of the band so it's not always easy to find in a flash. I may end up using a black sharpie marker to help me more quickly identify band strengths. Ideally, I wish the manufacturer had chosen 4 different colors rather than 4 fairly similar shades of the same color. I appreciate the fact that a mesh storage bag was included, although I'm finding it to be a little too small to easily fit the 4 bands inside without a lot of careful folding and fussing. For now, I've decided to use the exterior reusable bag that the set came in as a place to store 2 out of 4 of the bands so that I don't have to keep working to cram all 4 inside the mesh bag. I like that both a two-sided instruction guide and a coated paper training guide containing 20 exercises of varying difficulty levels was included with this set. All too often these days, I receive products that come without any instructions whatsoever. So I really do appreciate when a manufacturer/seller goes the extra distance in terms of providing their customers with printed information. I think this set of resistance bands is higher quality than most and the price is certainly reasonable. I would therefore highly recommend them to other exercisers who would like a travel and joint-friendly alternative to handheld weights.

I got these stretch bands for a couple of purposes. My knee has been bothering me a bit and I remember a long time ago having some physical therapy exercises for it that used bands (though a different type), so I figured these may help. An added plus is that they come with a book that has different exercises in it for if you want to get more exercise and stretch your muscles. I tried all the bands. They're very stretchy and should work well for exercises. You can feel your muscles stretch when using them. A weird thing I noticed is that the book says the light one is pink and the rest are purple. Luckily the bags that each band comes in are labeled, because all of the them are pink and it would be tricky to tell the difference between them at a glance. The main band that had I had an issue with was the heavy one. It had a weird feel to it, like maybe it had a powder or something on it that made it almost greasy. If I touched it, it left finger prints on it, while the others didn't. This could be because of the fact it's a thicker piece of rubber compared to the other ones. Out of curiosity, I held it with my fingers a couple of inches apart and stretched it. If you do it this way, it doesn't immediately return to original form and leaves a small bump. To be fair, it's not made for this. You're supposed to grab the whole thing in your entire hand. Overall, this should definitely help stretch your muscles.

Over the years I have accumulated a collection of mis-matched physical therapy issued bands of various resistances and lengths. This seemed like a great price, so I decided to purchase a new set. The product comes with a compact mesh storage bag and an informative brochure with suggested exercises. Being all one color in graduated color ranges, it is extremely helpful in identifying which strength band you are reaching for. In addition to the graduated colors, each band is labeled with the strength classification. I compared these to my PT issued bands and found these new bands to have much more resistance. My old PT bands are color rated weak to strong -Yellow, Red, Blue Green Black. This set picks up after that, with the X-Light being stronger than the Black. I also find the almost 6ft length much more versatile. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use from this new set of bands.

These appear to be useful resistance bands. Since I just received them, I can't speak to their durability. My one real complaint is that the colors are so similar that I have to keep checking the printing on them to see which is which. I imagine that the manufacturer is going for a "girly" look, but that could be achieved with more variety, purples, etc. Apart from that, they do the job well.

I love that these come with different bands that have different weight/tension to them. It has a great little mesh drawstring bag to keep them all in and a pretty large card with different exercises on it that you can do with the bands. I really appreciated that since I am new to using these. I think I will get a lot of use out of them. My kids were even enjoying using them as well.
