I bought the stinger for work so I went with the dual switch option with the piggyback charger for another battery. Short answer is I love it. I've always had awesome experience with streamlight and this is no exception. It's bright and can travel pretty far. The main reason I primarily use streamlight is for the rechargeable battery. I love the fact I don't need to remove the battery from the flashlight just to charge it. I also have a few surefire flashlights that I love too but it's annoying when the battery dies in the middle of me using it and the fact that I need to carry the cr123 batteries with me just in case. I however I do prefer the smaller size of the surfires. So my tip for you is look at what is your reason for buying a flashlight and compare your options. So if size isn't a issue and are tried of buying batteries then the stringer is for you. ... show more

This light is AWESOME ! I can light up the whole back of my property. Bobcats can no longer sneak in on my chickens, and coyotes keep their distance. I have 2 acres of property, and this light will light up the furthest corner like daylight. It is much smaller than my previous lights, and doesn't require batteries all the time. It also works well for seeing into those dark recesses while I am rebuilding motorcycle engines. It has a convenient charger, with an optional plug in for my vehicle as well as a spare battery, which I have not yet needed. This thing rocks ! ... show more

Over the years I have acquired a bunch of Maglites, mostly because the batteries would explode in them or leak forcing me to buy a new one. My latest, a Maglite LED pro met the same fate, it was a good light, but nothing compared to this flashlight. My father bought a Stinger LED a couple of years ago for work as a mechanic, and he has loved it. His light has been beaten to death, drowned in countless chemicals, and subjected to the harshest conditions possible, and the only minor issue he had with the switch Streamlight fixed. I bought this light, and it will probably be the last flashlight I buy, besides more of them possibly. Extremely bright, and Streamlight provides fantastic customer service. The light is of fantastic build quality, along with the charger. The only thing I wish is that the light was easier to get out of the charger, and that I had been able to find the fast charger with piggyback somewhere affordable, but both are minor details. I own three of these flashlights, maybe getting some more in the future. They are worth the money. It definitly puts a mag lite to shame in light output. This flashlight is very very tough, I am a diesel mechanic and I've had several LED mag lites completely die after a few months of use with occasional bumping and dropping, but the Stinger I use at work has already lasted me over a year already and has endured much higher drops and more severe bumps than most of my old mag lites. One thing I don't like about these flashlights is the short battery life (2 hours continuous use on bright), so thats why I recommend buying a streamlight with a spare battery and piggyback charger. ... show more

This LED light has been perfect for all my nighttime outdoor activities. It has worked great in all the fishing, hunting, and camping rigors I have put it through. Very nice to have both switches and 3 settings for the brightness. Rarely use HIGH because it's not needed and this helps to conserve the battery life. Great battery life! In my experience at close range, you can experience a little glare while even using the LOW setting. For example, while tracking a deer after dark the glare from the leaves made it difficult to differentiate color of the leaves or the blood trail. Would highly recommend this light! ... show more
