I looked at surefire lights before settling with this streamlight. I'm very glad I did. The stinger DS LED is light in weight, yet very very solid. The light output is incredible out of the box, with a full charge it's almost too much for what I intend to use this light for. I am a mechanic and have used other small streamlights in the past and have been very pleased with their quality. They didn't cut any corners with the stinger LED. It has the light output and solid construction you'd expect from more expensive brands. I'm probably going to buy another one of these to keep in the house. I'm really blown away by how nice this light is. No complaints! $100+ is a lot to spend on a flashlight, and if you're on the fence about getting one, this one offers everything you'd want out of a flashlight for years to come. There’s a reason this is pretty much the standard light for anyone who uses lights. It’s just great. I know a lot of cops and mechanics and virtually every single one of them uses these lights. This light is awesome. The thing I like best is you can adjust the spread of the light from wide to narrow. The charge lasts a long time as well. It even cuts through fog.

This is a great flashlight all around. I have 2 and would recommend them to anyone. About all the negative reviews I can only say that Streamlight has a good warranty Streamlight warrants its products to be free of defects for a lifetime of use except for batteries and bulbs, abuse and normal wear*. We will repair, replace or refund the purchase price of this product should we determine it to be defective. This is by far the best flashlight I have ever used. I researched the price of it through Snap On and MATCO tool vendors and they were close to $75 more expensive. The LED bulb is great, the wrap around rubber piece that fits over the lense frame hold the flashlight in place when working in confined spaces. I use it daily at work and charge it every other day. Very bright, holds a charge really well. It also gives a few lighting options, very bright, bright, dim and strobe, all of which are pretty useful. Weight is good, I keep it on my tool belt.
