Nice flashlight but after awhile it just look like bigger mini maglite the button is ok not to hard to push in but it is a deep push in button to get it on or off there isn't really a focus it's just got this classic flood type of light if your out side In side you might see a small hot spot not much I think on amazon or you tube shows it at 375 lumens I got and was 500 lumens on the box went with the classic version the other stinger just seem like they would hold a lot of dirt or oil in the plastic grip area I prefer to wipe my lights clean once in awhile lysol wipes and not worry about trying to get all the crevices changing the mode from high med low is easy just hold the button down till you get the brightness you want comes with 2 gray chargers smart chargers one green battery in the light didn't seem to get hot which was a good thing for me for the price streamlight is pricey and for the size if that's what your looking for it's ok it does the job i kinda didn't like the color sort of yellow i like maglite mag tac seems to be pure white instead of this yellowish ok to rap this up it's not bad I wouldnt say it's not cool light feels premium like it will last along time ... show more

I've used Streamlights for over 30 years and found them to be the best flashlight that I have ever owned. When I looked for a new battery pack after the pack in my 35X Streamlight failed, I discovered the "new" Stinger LED series....at least they were new to me. The 35X was much larger than any of the Stinger series, weighting about 3 times as much as a Stinger. However both have about the same average beam brightness, but the Stinger flashlights use much less battery. Most of the 35X battery power went into heating the halogen light bulb....so much heat was generated that I once melted the surface of the lens cover after insulation touched its surface. However, LEDs produce light without much heating. The choice of which Stinger LED model to buy totally depends on how it is used; I ended up buying two models: the Classic and the DS C4. The Classic is most like the 35X, only much smaller and has more brightness settings. The Classic is a little shorter than the DS, due to a more complex light focusing reflector and an additional power button on the DS. I like the feel of the Classic more because the surface has the same rough texture as the 35X, making the Classic more comfortable to hold. The Classic has a more uniform brightness than the DS C4, making the Classic more like the general flashlights we've always used. The DS C4 has a very bright spot in the center of the beam for getting greater range or brightness in a small area. So, for general use, get the Classic; for distance and extreme brightness get the DS C4. Or get both ... their chargers and batteries are interchangeable. ... show more

This light is very bright! I spend a lot of time out at night and this light has done a terrific job. The beam is not a narrow one but slightly spread out with the focus in the middle. It seems to shine well 80-100 yards. It feels nice in my hands - it is a great size and lightweight. The only disappointment is the battery life. I spend hours at a time out at night and the light only lasts just under 1.5 hours. Leading up to the battery dying the light grows dim and then shuts off. However after a period off it will go on again for a brief time only to shut off. It came with two chargers - one that plugs in the home and one that plugs into the car. I am not sure on the charging time as I always leave it in overnight. The manual does say to leave it in the charger when not in use. Overall a great flashlight. I took away 1 star due to the battery life not being amazing in my opinion. ... show more

Awesome light! The light I ordered may Have been used. Box had damage, end cap Of light had scratches and instructions were ripped. I thought I was buying as new. Had it been a gift, I would have returned it. Since I’m using it as a duty light, I know ware will show quickly. Other than that, I’m very happy with it. This is my 2nd stringer classic. Only bought it due to losing my other one. Highly recommend this type of light! ... show more

When I first tried these, I thought they were awesome. However, I converted an older model to LED and the conversion kit was brighter than these are out of the box. Overall though, they do a great job. They are plenty bright and very durable. Fully charged, the run-time is several hours without any issue. These are expensive, but the quality and durability make them worth it. I would buy one if I lost mine or needed a replacement. They are just hard to beat. ... show more
