When you need maximum illumination with a wide beam to search a large area, the Stinger LED HL rechargeable, high lumen flashlight provides a blast of 640-lumen with 297-meter of beam distance. 3-Lighting modes and strobe: High for high-lumen and super-bright light; Medium for intense brightness and longer run time; Low for extended run times and when a less intense beam is ideal; Strobe for signaling or disorienting. LED technology, shock-proof with a 50,000 hour lifetime. Deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a concentrated beam with optimum peripheral illumination. Optimized electronics provide regulated intensity throughout battery charge. NiMH battery rechargeable up to 1000 times; also accepts NiCd battery. Made up of 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with non-slip rubberized comfort grip and anti-roll rubber ring. Unbreakable polycarbonate lens with scratch-resistant coating. BRIGHT AS HELL! I bought this flashlight with an Amazon gift card which is the only reason that I would have been okay with paying that much. I'm going into law enforcement so I figured I needed a reliable backup flashlight and although I haven't yet tested the reliability to much of an extent, I have already dropped it a couple times and it takes the hit like its nothing. The flashlight is brighter than really any flashlight I've used, brighter than the million candle lanterns that we use on the boat. It may possibly be too bright for certain situations as it isn't great for looking in cabinets or working on cars. But for outdoor uses it is great. The button on the back is very convenient and it's nice that the charger also has a second battery and a second battery charger so that the flashlight and the spare battery can both be charging at the same time. The lumens are lower than other flashlights that are slightly more expensive but this light is a lot brighter than I expected. I would definitely recommend to anyone who spends any time outside at night. ... show more

I bought this flashlight as an upgrade to my trusty xenon Stinger that I've had since 2000. I thought it was bright, after all, it put the biggest D-cell MagLight to shame (MagLight? Pfft! The '80s called, they want their heavy-ass, bulky-as-hell underperforming flashlights back). Then I got this thing. There's just no comparison. None at all. On the high setting, this thing cuts through the darkest tinted car windows with ease. It lights up every shadow outdoors. In fact, it's too bright to use indoors - when I check rooms in the building where I work, I have to kick it down to the low setting to avoid blinding myself. It's so bright that I fear I won't have much of a use for it when I leave this security job. If you work security or law enforcement, get this thing. Otherwise, I think it's probably too much of a good thing for any kind of close-up work. ... show more

This is a great flashlight. I am a Vol firefighter and this light is indispensable for me. I have used it in search and rescue, car accidents and fires and the light performs very well. It is very nice to always have a bright light that is ready to go and a charged extra battery as well. All in all the light appears to be a good quality light and very durable. Don't be fooled by less expensive alternatives. If this light is going to serve in a EMS/Firefighter/Law Enforcement role, then there is no other choice. I love this flash light. Great brightness and covers a wide area. Highly recommend this product. Plus, it came with 2 batteries which is a plus. Easy set up to hook up the device to a wall so you can hang the flashlight after you are done using it.

Working in the corrections field, it has been quoted to me, "OMG, what was that, a light sabre" and this was just a quick flash to see who I was counting.
