  • Very bright!
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
Bought this for my husbands fire helmet. Works great!

  • Nice flashlight
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
Nice helmet light, but the swivel, at least on mine, was impossible to rotate, had to use channel locks to move it, and that even took a lot of effort, still does. Replacing the battery door was very difficult also. I bought it as a Christmas gift for my son, don’t know why the swivel was froze, but at least the light is extremely bright. 3/5 stars. ... show more

  • Missing Piece
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
Upon receiving this product I unpackaged and notice I had two angle plate and only one battery (it takes two). A very good light overall

  • Worked in a ripping structure fire
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
It showed up on a Monday, put it on my helmet and got it adjusted. Its pretty bright. I was worried about the weight of it as others I've experienced you can really feel on your head, this one is barely noticeable which is great. Sure enough had a working structure fire that night. While I have a LED light on my turnout gear, its not always pointing where I am looking. Having this lined up for where my face is looking is great, and it performed great. It was bright enough where I could see what I was doing in heavy smoke. Any heavier, no light would have made any difference, so it performed as well as my "big" chest light. I was absolutely soaked and covered in debris, but the light worked and the mount held up fine. I can't speak to the longevity of the battery, but it took a beating within hours of me setting it up and I was happy with the visual performance. Really easy to turn on and off with fire gloves on. ... show more

  • Light on a helmet is better than no light.
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
The only thing I would change is the on/off dial. With fire gloves on it’s difficult to feel. If it was a simpler design (just a straight thick bar) with a 45-90° turn for on/off the way it is now. I think it could be even better!

  • Solid design
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
I was nervous about this light getting hit off my Bullard style structure helmet, but it’s been secure since I’ve mounted it. Haven’t had to change batteries yet, so can’t say anything about lifespan. Haven’t accidentally turned it on in the compartment or bed of my truck either. No current complaints ... show more

  • Fantastic with one pretty good sized design flaw
Color: Black Style: Flashlight
I have been really pleased with this light. I do have one complaint that seems to be a continuing issue for me. When we make entry it's fantastic, because I'm either crawling or looking up for hotspots, smoke, etc. However once we start overhaul efforts the light becomes an issue because that high angle makes it so that I'm blinding just about anyone who I look at. I know it came with a small piece of plastic you can use as an angle adjuster, however I need both angles before an incident is concluded. In short: the way this light mounts onto my helmet it shines a decent amount above my head. This is great for initial fire suppression efforts, but once overhaul starts it becomes a hindrance. I bought this light so that I wouldn't have to remember a light. If I can't solve my current issue, (find a sweet spot for the vertical angle) I may buy a secondary light to hang on my coat that I can switch to once we start salvage and overhaul operations. I hope the manufacturers read these reviews, as I would spend the same amount or more again if it meant a light that pivoted vertically as well as horizontally. Also if anyone has solved this issue with a solution of their own or a technique then please don't be shy and let me know how wrong I am! ... show more
