Description

The Microstream USB is a compact Lithium-ion battery-powered flashlight designed for use in all markets. It features a tail cap switch, momentary or constant on operation, high and low beams, a combination pocket/hat clip for convenience, and amazing brightness and run time for a light of its size and price. The aluminum housing with Type II Military Spec anodizing helps make the light extremely durble and abrasion resistant. To charge the light, slide the head cover forward to expose the micro USB port.

I have purchased 9 of these from Amazon, the first one on October 8, 2020. That is the one in my picture. It is my EDC and has been since I got it. The coyote anodizing is wearing quite a bit, but that is after nearly 5 years of everyday carry. I did break the clip and had to replace it a year or so ago. The battery life is still really pretty good. I don't have to charge it too frequently, but it is easy to charge and I don't have to remove my battery, like an Olight I have. I do wish Streamlight would update it with a USB C but as of right now I have plenty of cables and chargers to use for this guy and my others I have lying around my house, my truck and my desk. They are pretty bright too. These are brighter than the alkaline version that is basically the same size. I love the ability to click it on at two levels of brightness or to be able to tap it on and hold it without clicking. They make a great gift. Everyone should have a good flashlight and a pocket knife with them and this is my go to! I think this is the best light you can get for the cost and rechargeability. ... show more

    • Difficult one hand off/on - color does matter!

This little light is great. Light as a feather, bright, small, good pocket carry. But, using one hand to turn it off and on is more difficult than it needs to be. I really have to get the tip of my finger in there to activate the button. It does have momentary function - slightly push the button to turn light on and release to turn light off. That saves it or I wouldn’t use it. Also color does matter. I have a red and coyote. The coyote defaults to high beam while the red defaults to low beam. According to the instruction manual black defaults to low beam. Not sure if blue is high or low default. So basically if you want high beam on the red one you momentary the button twice then full click while on the second momentary push to have the high beam on. Vice versa for coyote to get low. Confusing but it does work. Fantastic light if not for difficult one had only operation. ... show more

This little flashlight is an absolute monster that punches way above its weight. Extremely rugged and 3/4 the size of a nice pen. I love how quickly it charges and how you can easily swap through high and low settings of brightness. Literally just barely press the back of it and you can sift between brightness levels, then press it all the way in to keep it at that level. Mine never gets hot either.
