As a spare ball. I can't recommend anything else. It throws extremely straight. My friend introduced me this with the 15lb, and I am awaiting a 13lb ball. I may update this when I receive the 13lb ball, as I wanted to see how well the light ball could be slammed for doing splits. The bad reviews for this are unfair, as this is a spare ball. Just keep in mind, plastic balls are not great (nor intended) for hooking. While we tried hooking it for the fun of it, it doesn't work great. Not that you can't, but you will find that it just barely hooks at the end of the lane unless you REALLY force it. This is to be expected, so I don't knock it for that.
