Bought this a few months before our daughter was born for the nursery, and now she’s 6 months old and we’ve been using it for a while, and we love it! We live in a fairly small house so the bedrooms are really small, and this fit perfectly! It’s not a massive dresser, but fits all the clothes we’re currently using and some towels, sheets, etc. It’s pretty sturdy, but light enough that I can move it by myself. Came scratch free and the assembly instructions were pretty straightforward. It did take a couple hours to assemble, but wasn’t any more complex than any other piece of furniture you buy in a box. I’m here as a mid 30s woman to give an HONEST review I’m getting nothing out of this but I felt I had to defend it based off a lot of bad reviews. I’m not sure why there are so many terrible reviews on the quality and the assembly because I literally second guessed buying this once I read the reviews and was even a little discouraged. I'm sad to be writing this review, because I just wrote one for a different Storkcraft dresser that turned out great. This one, however, was a complete disaster. The big difference between these was that for the other one, I took everything out of the box but didn't assemble it right away. By the time I was ready to assemble, I couldn't find the written instructions. So, I had to Google them and found instructions on YouTube. They were clear and I assembled the dresser easily. With this one, I used the written instructions, and they were horrible. To be clear, there are no words, just pictures. Some of the pieces in the pictures are backward from what they're supposed to be (i.e., the "screw hole" pictured should be on the other side). (They're not really screws, but I don't know what they're called so I'm just using that word.) Also, they kept flipping the pieces upside down and/or backward from one step to the next. I had to examine each picture at each step extremely carefully to see which direction it was facing -- sometimes the only clue would be a small cutout, or a screw hole that was showing in the last picture but wasn't showing in the current one, meaning the unit had been turned around. Overall, it was extremely confusing. By the time I got the unit assembled and the drawers put together, the drawers wouldn't go in. Obviously I had done something wrong during the assembly. So, I tried to take it apart to try again, and the entire thing just broke. The little metal pieces and dowels ripped apart the flimsy particle board before I could even get the pieces apart. Of course, I knew these pieces were particle board due to the price, but it just wasn't strong enough to hold up when being taken apart. So, if you do decide to buy this piece (or any other by Storkcraft based on my experience), I highly recommend skipping the written instructions altogether and going straight to YouTube. Frankly, even those are a bit annoying (I really don't need to be shown how to turn a screwdriver EVERY SINGLE TIME a screw needs to be used), but at least they are clear and the first dresser went together no problem. Unfortunately, this one ended up a mess and went straight to the dump. Lesson learned. ... show more

After reading all the reviews I was very hesitant to order. However it was on of the few pepple gray dresses I could find on Amazon. I took the chance and just ordered it. To my surprise it wasn’t as bad as I expected. I’m 7 months pregnant built it all by myself. The most annoying part was before you put the side of the dresser up to hold it all together. I guess it’s supposed to somehow be secured after tightening the middle pieces but it doesn’t. So I just ignored that until it was time to attach the sides. After that it was smooth. The material is very delicate and will crack if you tighten the screws too much. The drawers were extremely tedious. In total it took me about 4-5 hours to put together. Overall I am happy with the results. It looks really nice and sturdy. I also like the safety features that only allows you to open on drawer at a time. If your hesitant like I was I would recommend taking the chance. ... show more

People need to understand that you're not going to get solid wood craftsmanship for the same cost as this type of furniture. These are designed for economical affordability and functionality. That being said, this is the 4th dresser I've had to buy and this one has been by far, the best dresser I've received. I'm waiting on two returns from other manufacturers as they arrived damaged. Storkcraft has actually taken the time to properly pack this product. There was foam in between each and every layer. I must also mention that this is the ONLY dresser I've seen that has an anti-tipping mechanism where only one drawer can be opened at a time. The thought that was put into this has surpassed my expectations and is quite impressive. I highly recommend this brand to anyone. Thank you for such a quality product. ... show more
