The 5.3 liter containers seal well. Some reviews say the latches are difficult to attach, but I found them easy enough by pressing one side of a piece at a time into the connection joint and pushing down into place using both of my thumbs, one on top of the other. I'm a 64 year old woman who is not particularly strong. The lids are also easy to close onto the containers by placing your palms on the left and right sides of the lid over the latches, pressing lightly downward, then rolling your palms down over the latches. Then turn the container and repeat with the other two sides. If the latches were too easy to attach and to close, I'd be worried that it wouldn't be a tight seal and that insects could get to my contents. I put soapy water in each of the containers, snapped the lids on and shook in every direction to clean them out and to test the seals before using. They didn't leak. They did leak when I put warm water in and shook, but that is to be expected. It would warm the air and expand it in the container, which pushes up on the lid and breaks the seal. I had a difficult time getting one of the lids to seat onto the container, but that was easily remedied. I found that the problem was that the gasket is very thick (which is a good thing) and just needed to be pushed farther into its groove in the lid. After I pushed it in, the lid easily slipped into place on the container. I REALLY like the measuring cups that came with the set. The scoop shape is perfect for scooping out contents, and the different sizes are great to leave in the containers when they are filled to various levels. I also like that there are extra latches included. Overall, I recommend this set.

These containers have ample storage, yet still fit on my kitchen shelf. They have a very tight seal, and I was given 4 extra handles. Stickers are included, and I absolutely love the white magic marker.

These Storeganize 5.3L Flour and Sugar Storage Containers have been an excellent addition to my kitchen. The first thing I noticed is how well-designed they are for keeping ingredients fresh. The lids create a really solid airtight seal, and you can tell right away that it actually locks in freshness. My flour and sugar stay dry and clump-free, even after sitting for a while. The locking mechanism is another standout feature—it feels very durable and snaps shut securely every time. It doesn’t feel flimsy or like it’s going to wear out, which is something I’ve had issues with on other containers. Once it’s locked, you know it’s sealed properly. The size is perfect too. At 5.3L, it holds a good amount without taking up too much space, and the shape makes it easy to stack or fit neatly in a pantry. Overall, these containers are sturdy, reliable, and do exactly what they’re supposed to do. If you want something that keeps your dry goods fresh and is built to last, these are definitely worth it.

These containers are great! they lock on all four sides, sealing in freshness. I love the labels and measuring cups. I did not know I needed these until I bought them. Great gift for first time home owners and a wedding gift.

Perfect fit for kitchen cabinet storage. Replacement hinges make it so sturdy even if used daily. Size makes cabinet space organized with space saving and gives visibility. Its locking seal keeps contented fresh and washing in dishwasher safely allowing hinges to be washed unconnected.
